Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe room is quite basic (for the price). It doesn't have an AC or a fan, a safe or even a kettle. Beds were okay. Corridors were fairly small.
The location of this hotel is amazing. Just a few minutes walk from Centraal and close to the main tourist spots in Amsterdam. The free breakfast was decent too.

United Kingdomtwo sides to this - stairs to room very steep, small foot treads.. if we had been less able we may not have managed them.. but they made us laugh, we have never opened a hotel door to be met with that view before - lol.. just if you are booking for others make sure they are able to manage these stairs.

United StatesII was very noisy when we were trying to sleep. There was a Chinese restaurant across from our room with people being quite loud as they walked or ran down this street. I wish we had an inside room. A refrigerator would have been nice to have.
The location was close to the river cruise terminal and train station and not that far from the museum square. The breakfast was very good.

Great location, right next to the train station. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Big windows. The breakfast selection is small, but sufficient. It was nice that there was a minibar in the room, so you could keep the drinks cold.

The location was amazing. Having a lift in the building was great, too. For the location alone, I'd stay here again.

IndiaPayment process is a little strange. Pay one night's room rent and then pay the ENTIRE amount, while the hotel refunds the initial payment. Still in the dark if the reversal worked or not. Should ideally just have to pay the balance amount.
Location is great. Well connected and right next to Amsterdam Centraal. Walking distance from most things within Amsterdam central points. Very good breakfast and efficient staff.

We loved our stay at Hotel Hendrik. Very close by the Central station, we received two huge rooms with 4 comfy single beds for an occupany of two people per room. The place was very clean, we had a full bathroom with bath tub. Great value for money. Breakfast was tasty.

IrelandI have only two things I would change they are, that there should be tea/coffee facilities in the annex and more pillows. I used the extra duvet in wardrobe as extra pillow. It worked but would still prefer an 2nd pillow. Other than that we had a great time there. The bed was so comfortable.
The hotel was lovely, the staff on reception were very helpful. The breakfast was very nice. I didn't have the hot food but the coffee and pancakes were very nice. We stated in annex across the road. I would like to try the hotel the next time. Location is perfect. Little shop underneath the annex is great.

The location. It is super convenient in terms of everything. Amsterdam central is just 2-4 mins away from the hotel. All other street, shops & restaurants are just at a walking distance. You don’t need any uber or any transport for mobility. It’s just amazing.
