Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceBuilding is an old one so with steep and narrow staircase and squeaking doors (not recommended for those mobility challenged) - Bed too soft for my taste (really too bad) - Church bell rings every 15 minutes all night and passerby speaking loudly - thankfully they provide ear-plugs - A bit complicated to have the sink apart from the shower, but that's just old style (14th century?) building - Lack of outlets to charge all the devices (again it's an old hitsoric buidling)
Great location in the middle of restaurants and canals - Wonderful staff working with passion - Fabulous breakfast prepared with care and with local produce only - Room was very small but optimised in a charming manner, made me think of my first studio after I left home - Nice shampoo and soap

United KingdomLook, it's a dutch hotel so expect narrow and steep stairs and no lift. But the staff are so helpful and will help to get you settled in. Just be careful. The hotel is in a lively part of town so it can be a bit noisy. They provide ear plugs but we really didn't have to use them.
The 'standouts' are the location and the staff but everything was great. The hotel sits above a wonderful lunch menu restaurant, serving the greatest soup. I really recommend the Classic. The place is very veggie/vegan friendly. You can sit outside watching the world go by (next to one of the many canals in Utrecht) but you may have to wait for a seat. This place is popular! Our room was on the first floor and was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very stylish and with tea & coffee making facilities and a mini-bar. Everything you could want from a superior room. This was our third stay here and I would say that it is worth paying a little extra, if you can, to get a superior room. Utrecht is not a cheap city so it may not be that easy to justify. We've stayed in other rooms and they are excellent too. I have to call out the staff. They are amazing. So welcoming and friendly and helped us with our luggage. On that subject, if you need to store bags then there is a secure area downstairs. Utrecht is our favourite city. If you are tempted by Amsterdam then I would really recommend taking the 20 minute train journey south. The railway station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Shops, chips with mayo (who thought that was a good idea?) and, possibly, the best bike shop in the world - Republic Dutch.

United StatesAbsolutely nothing!
Arrived by bike and a fabulous place. Very central to all that goes on and the food was simply exceptional. A premier place to get the vibe of the city! Could not have asked for a better space!

United KingdomA lot of the reviews mention the steep stairs but it really doesn’t prepare you for how steep they actually are! I enjoyed the novelty but it hurt my partners knees after a while. If I’m being picky the shower pressure wasn’t the best (but we were in the attic room so probably to be expected) and it was odd having the sink in the bedroom not the bathroom. But these are all minor problems and not enough to dampen our stay at all.
Fantastic location right in the heart of Utrecht, easy walking distance to the station and everything else. Staff were wonderful, very friendly, check in was easy as was storing our bags for a few hours upon check out. Room was delightful, super comfy bed and with all the amenities you’d need in the room. Great view of the canal from the window and a really lovely place to stay. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to this wonderful city!

GermanyIt can get a bit noisy because of the bell tower and people passing by the house at nigh). There are ear plugs available. :)
The room is in downtown Utrecht and close to any sightseeing location. The interior is very charming and it has a kettle and Nespresso.

United StatesStairs were a bit steep. Felt more like climbing a ladder so it might not be the best for those with mobility issues but it was fine for us.
Breakfast was a gorgeous spread of locally sourced items. Location was in the heart of the historical center of Utrecht. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Great area to walk around in.

United KingdomDefinitely need bigger towels and more English teabags! Shower was also a little erratic and the flush on the toilet not great.
Location was absolutely perfect. Right in the centre of Utrecht but surprisingly quiet. Rooms were beautiful, unique decor, bed incredibly comfortable. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious especially the homemade pastries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

PolandThe only downside was that the room was a bit cold. Apart of that everything was wonderful.
The stay was simply beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was adorable and the whole place has a cozy atmosphere (especially with the delicious smell of the soup). I've never had a better breakfast experience anywhere I've been before. Logement Petit Beijers is such a lovely place. I'll definitely return, even if just for breakfast or a soup!!

United KingdomNiets!
Petit Beijers offers a unique experience; the logement (situated in the heart of the old city centre) is cosy, comfortable and exudes modern Dutch 'gezelligheid' with its lovely interior design. Breakfast is a joyous affair with fresh, healthy, locally-sourced, organic produce, served by delightful staff. With its candles, cushions and fresh flowers, Beijers brings a smile to your day.
