Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe found that the breakfast wasn't really promoted or advertised much. There wasn't any information in the room about prices and choices which we would normally expect.
Good location for the AFAS arena and metro. Staff were helpful and called us a taxi when required. Rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard.

SpainPrice is quite high for the quality offered. The bed is not comfortable. The breakfast is not well assorted, and the rooms are not clean properly. On the first day, I tried to make me a coffee, and the kettle was full of water (from the previous guess) 🙃. It doesn't deserve to be a 4th star hotel.
Regarding our porpoise, the location was perfect near the Arena, Ziggo Dom, and train station.

ChileIf you made plans to do things mainly in the city center, the location of this hotel in Amsterdam Zuidoost may seem quite remote. While it has good access to public transport, the area has almost no places of interest or access to shops for buying food, for example. By metro, it takes you 25 - 30 minutes to get to Amsterdam Centraal so plan ahead if you're planing to go from and to the hotel specially when traveling with children.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Overall the hotel looks modern and well maintained. Nice beds and good enough bathrooms. While it's not very close to the city center, the hotel is quite close to a metro station.

GermanyThe shower is a water hazzard. There is no way to prevent a flooding as the drains are too small and don't soak in the water fast enough and thus, you end up walking on puddles of water, which fills up the whole bathroom.
The room was clean, beds were comfy, quiet area, close to the metro station and easy check in/out process.

GermanyPerfect walking distance to Afas Live, Ziggo Dome and the ArenA. The nearest train station towards the city center is also only a few hundred meters away. I can definitely recommend the hotel for a stay for a concert or a city trip.

MoroccoOver priced for what it is: Hotel located in an empty area, where there is no one walking at night which make things a bit scary. Constructions near by and the building is not sound proof. Room cleaning starts so early and noisy which disturbs. Hotel far from city center (25 min with multiple stops)
Spacious and clean room. Professional staff. Room cleaning everyday. Metro station near the hotel (7 min walk)

Czech RepublicEven if hotel isnt so cheap they charge 15€ a day for parking. Would be nice to clean a floor in the room (hairs etc.). And i have to say that breakfest was very poor. If you dont wanna english breakfest there isnt almost no other choise and every single day the exactly same food.

SwitzerlandThe bathroom came with full glass walls including the door, none of which was sound proof. When travelling with a friend, partner or a spouse, this is not what you would want... Having a proper bathroom with concrete walls would be good.
The hotel is clean, located 30 mins by metro from Amsterdam Central, and in a quiet area (office district).
