Our room was very small and the stairs from the street level to our room were steep.

We loved the owners who were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice. The location was great. The stairs were steep but they carried our luggage for us.

Everything. Henk and Anne Marie are fantastic hosts. They couldn't have done more for myself and my son with their passion for Haarlem and the knowledge and reccomendations of what to do and see. As we were leaving at 6.30 am they offered us a breakfast pack for our trip to the airport. I'll definitely be staying here again next year when I visit the Netherlands.

The staff were so helpful and provided useful information about the town and surrounding country. Hank and his wife were really great and welcoming. This is the best place to stay if visiting Haarlem.

Staircases are steep with suitcases/backpacks, but not a problem as Henk always helped and offered to carry bags.

Absolutely recommend Hotel Malts🌟 Henk & Annemarie were very receptive and responded to our enquiries prior and during our stay. Our Haarlem holiday was made so special with our freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants baked daily, cereals and fruit. Coffee or tea in the dining room with a view😊 On days we left early and would miss breakfast, Annemarie packed us a takeaway sandwiches, fruit buns and juice’s😇 Our room was delightful and was cleaned each day. Bathroom is modern and has walkin shower. Highly recommend as a home away from home😊

B&B Hotel malts exceeded my expectations. No suggestions to improve.

B&B Hotel Malts is in a very central location, close to the main square, shopping, restaurants and cafes. The room was pleasant comfortable and very clean with a good shower and private bathroom. Breakfast was excellent fresh eggs, granola fruit yoghurt, fresh breads, cold meats and cheese. Henk and Annemarie were great hosts, very hospitable, and helpful in guiding us on local sight-seeing highlights. Highly recommend this B&B.

perhaps add some more rags for a room to hang/put the clothes, this would be more comfortable; also would be nice to have an additional rag in the bathroom for the towels.

Probably the best b&b place I have recently stayed anywhere. Location: amazingly situated in Haarlem old town, 10 min walk from the railway situation to go to any bigger city like Amsterdam, Hague, Rotterdam - anywhere one wishes. Cleanliness: amazingly clean, room is arranged every single day, no bad smells, one can always open a window to let the fresh air in. Bad and other furnishings: comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, eco-conscious approach to water use, power-sockets and comfort of use - great. Wi-Fi: wifi6 standard, amazing quality and speed. Breakfast: reasonable choice, delicious cheese and ham, tasty pastries, unlimited coffee, you get served daily glass of fresh orange juice. Apart from that, there is a kitchen open throughout entire day, in order to have some tea or coffee (free) as well as to have any soft or other beverages (paid, though very good price for all items). Hosts: now this deserves a special tribute - Annemarie and Henk - one can only dream of such a level of hospitality, positive attitude, amazing politeness, go-to approach - all of that made mine and my fiancé's stay an unforgettable experience! Thank you! And hope to see you soon! Very much recommended to stay :)

There were lots of stairs to climb to the hotel but worth the climb.

The steep, narrow stairs. Our hosts ran up and down with our luggage, so that was not a problem for us. This is the usual situation in Europe.

The hosts were very organized. We arrived at 12:30, met them in the breakfast room for a cup of tea, and immediately were allowed into our room. The hotel was in walking distance from the train station, quiet and in centre of restaurants and shopping. We have no complaints.

The hosts were warm, hospitable, and always ready to provide helpful tips on what to do. The breakfast was very nice. The location was great - it was only a 20 minute train ride to get to Amsterdam. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The property also had bike rentals.

Stairs are always a bit of a challenge.

Both owners were very courteous, helpful and humorous, see for third staff person and cleaning staff. Location was excellent as was close to bus to airport. The 24/7 access to tea and coffee was special.
