Would have been nice to have a bath, larger beds and be able to store luggage for longer after checking out. But overall a very good experience and I would recommend.

Excellent breakfast with lovely details like homemade compotes with fresh yoghurt, good coffee and proper freshly squeezed orange juice.

It was a wonderful stay in Haarlem. Annemarie and Henk do make it special, and you feel like home. The breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit and bread, and joghurt with homemade compote. We had a budget double room, so it was a bit small, but with high ceilings and very cozy and warm. We were not bothered by any noise, it was peaceful and quiet.The location is great, and Annemarie and Henk make sure you visit the best places.

Not related to the facility, but the clock chimes went off at the church every night at 9 and continued for 30 minutes.

Wonderful hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. Morning breakfast offered many options and we were always greeted with a warm good morning. We really appreciated the van booking for easy transport to the airport. Fantastic location near the square and many shops.

Wonderful hosts, great location, beautiful room, and delicious breakfast—what more could you ask for? Henk and Annemarie were incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door, guiding us through a personalized map of Haarlem and offering much needed coffee after a long travel day. Our room was comfortable and lovely—quality linens, nice shower, windows that could be opened for fresh air. Breakfast was fabulous. If we return to Haarlem, we will only stay at Hotel Malts.

Narrow steep stairs should be noted for those guests, who travel with large luggage. That is typical for old towns of The Netherlands.

Everything. Henk and Anne Marie are fantastic hosts. They couldn't have done more for myself and my son with their passion for Haarlem and the knowledge and reccomendations of what to do and see. As we were leaving at 6.30 am they offered us a breakfast pack for our trip to the airport. I'll definitely be staying here again next year when I visit the Netherlands.

The staff were so helpful and provided useful information about the town and surrounding country. Hank and his wife were really great and welcoming. This is the best place to stay if visiting Haarlem.

Staircases are steep with suitcases/backpacks, but not a problem as Henk always helped and offered to carry bags.

Absolutely recommend Hotel Malts🌟 Henk & Annemarie were very receptive and responded to our enquiries prior and during our stay. Our Haarlem holiday was made so special with our freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants baked daily, cereals and fruit. Coffee or tea in the dining room with a view😊 On days we left early and would miss breakfast, Annemarie packed us a takeaway sandwiches, fruit buns and juice’s😇 Our room was delightful and was cleaned each day. Bathroom is modern and has walkin shower. Highly recommend as a home away from home😊
