The location was amazing and the room was incredibly comfortable, especially the bed! Vimmo and Godwin thought of everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

What an incredible base, right in the heart of Amsterdam. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the room is very quiet. Also has a very powerful shower!

The room is on the second floor with very steep and narrow stairs, but this is common in Amsterdam.

The location was great, and Wimmo was an outstanding host. The room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities.

The location was in Amsterdam city centre, in a quite street off the main roads. easy access to everything. Easy 10 min stroll to Amsterdam central station and a few mins to tram line. Absolutely fantastic.

We liked everything about our stay. The location is very central and quiet. The design of the hotels is great. The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. This is the place to stay in Amsterdam. I went to Amsterdam to celebrate my birthday with my friend and when they heard about it they surprised me by decorating my room with happy birthday stuff and even gave me a small gift. I would definitely recommend it.

Very nice property in a good location. Wimmo, Godwin and Eduardo were very friendly and welcoming. Wimmo was in contact with us before our journey and welcomed us at the door on arrival. It felt much more personal than the service from a regular hotel, while leaving us to come and go as we pleased. The room itself and the bathroom were both spacious and clean. Though I do prefer a door on a bathroom, I can understand why this wasn’t possible with the layout of the old building, and it didn’t cause a problem. Though we didn’t use the communal kitchen, it was a nice option. The area had a number of cafes, restaurants and upmarket shops and felt safe to wander around at night.

Set in a beautiful location amongst the canals and pretty streets, a short and ideal distance from the heart of Amsterdam, the rooms were comfortable, classy and had everything you need. The hosts were exceptional, they went the extra mile and topped off an already amazing stay! I would definitely recommend Barangay to anyone wanting to visit Amsterdam.

Absolutely fabulous… 5 stars simply isn’t enough The hosts are incredible with pre stay communication and tips and whilst you are their guests they have thought of absolutely everything. Location is perfect, the property is quintessentially Dutch and fab. The view from the room was the hosts wonderful ‘hidden’ garden.

Wow what a wonderful stay. We were greeted by Wimmo who runs the B&B, and he was super friendly and helpful. There was a lovely welcome basket with goodies. The location is perfect, with the best restaurants all around. The room was beautiful. What a great stay!

We didn’t mind at all, but the bathroom, beautifully appointed, was up a skinny flight of stairs in the attic above the living space. Some older people might find that inconvenient.

The property itself is beautiful, including art and antiques with eclectic and colorful surrounds. Larry and I stayed at the suite at the back of the property, up a few flights of stairs with a spectacular view of private gardens within the city block. So quiet and tranquil.

Just a note - the bathroom is huge and the shower is wonderful but there is no door at the top of the stairs so there is no 'sound' privacy. Not a criticism, just something a little different.

What an amazing place. The house is beautiful. The room is large and exceptionally clean. All the little details are awesome - from a basket of snacks to fresh water the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Wimmo was so friendly and helpful. Always just a bell ring away when/if you needed him. Did I mention the cleanliness? They go way above and beyond in cleaning/straightening up your room. Also, the location is perfect. Right in the middle of one of the cutest streets in Amsterdam.

I can’t say enough good things about Amsterdam Barangay. The location was in the heart of the Jordaan and the 9 Streets. It was a short walk from the train station and was pretty easy to find with the help of Google Maps. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The shower was amazing. There’s in room coffee, treats, and a complementary small split of bubbly. There are good restaurants nearby, including a great Italian place just across the street. This will be the first place I seek out on my next visit to Amsterdam.

Great location in a lovely area with wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts who are extremely efficient with their communications. Excellent restaurants steps away. We stayed in the garden room - very quiet and having access to the kitchen is a plus.
