Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was no way to tell that the room was on the third floor, at the time of booking. Since I couldn't take my carry on suitcase up the stairs by myself, I had to wait for assistance from the hotel staff. I had no problem staying by myself in the room, but it would have been very cramped for 2 people.
The hotel was conveniently located right by the train station, but it was quiet at night. The breakfast was nicely presented, although the selection was the same every day. The staff was very nice, and very helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was good. It took only a few minutes to walk either to the beach, or into town. There was an area by the entrance to make tea, to bring to your room. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel, after checking out in the morning.

SlovakiaOur last-minute booking was accommodated well, and we had a truly enjoyable stay! The location of the hotel is very convenient (just a minute to the train station, yet quiet), facilities and cleanliness are both great, breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very dedicated, friendly, and available to answer any questions. We even received a farewell package. Thank you!

BahrainShower had a curtain (it was clean) but I am sure that in the owner's ongoing refurbishnebt plans this will be changed.
Arrival was per bicycle and location was easy to find and close to main boulevard, where we were warmly welcomed. Check in went smooth. This is a family owned hotel where the staff takes a lot of pride in serving the guests (finding restaurant, advise on route to cycle). Room was clean , comfortable, no airco but that was not a problem as there was a door to a balcony). Very well laid out breakfast, which could also be enjoyed on terrace in front of hotel.

United KingdomNothing to mention
This hotel was perfect for our business trip. It is situated next to the train station (but not noisy) and just 5 minutes from the beach restaurants which were a treat at the end of long business days. The hotel is an older building but it has been modernised inside and was perfectly clean, had very comfortable beds and the staff were really welcoming and looked after us throughout our stay.

NetherlandsThe room was rather tiny, located on the 2nd floor. The staircase was very steep. The sink is in the room. The toilet was tiny and a bit smelly. There is no private parking place. In general - everything was good!
The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The location is superb, close to the beach, to the centrum and to the parking place. The internet was OK. Coffee and tea available 24h for free. Even the sea was visible (far away)

KenyaHonestly there’s really not much. Maybe use an alternative to plastic cups and bottles in the bathroom for sustainability reasons but that’s about it.
We had a great stay at Hotel Keur! The rooms are small but very cozy comfy. The whole hotel is nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was great and location is also perfect with the beach at walking distance. Also perfect for anyone wanting to take the train to Haarlem or Amsterdam for a day trip. Would definitely recommend!

United StatesI didn't realize it was outside of Amsterdam and it took about half an hour to get to Central Station with the train. Daily trips on the train can get quite expensive. The room was tiny, which us Americans are not used to, but it's pretty normal for a European hotel I guess.
Very nice breakfast. Awesome! Coffee machine. Staff was friendly. It was a one minute walk from the train station

CroatiaThe hotel itself and the staff were amazing. We were late for check in, they were patient and waited even hour after the mentioned time. They took care we had all the information we need to have a pleasant stay in the hotel. The variety for the breakfast was great and more than enough. There is coffee machine which is available to take coffee all day long. It was really a nice stay. We thank you for taking such a good care for us and see you soon in the coming future! :)

Czech RepublicI have a feeling that the room was really for two persons, with a third bed added to accommodate three people - this made the space rather small for three persons. Even with our suitcases in the space next door, having our things in the closet and on the table basically filled everything up.
The hotel really is a very short walk to the beach, and it is located right next to the train station. Zandvoort boulevard and centre are easy to reach. The hotel does not have it's own parking, but this is managed through parking permits (additional fee) near the hotel and further away. We always found a spot to park very close to the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to give advice or assist on any matter. They really were excellent. House keeping was also very good, they kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast was very good, with a wide and good choice. The wifi worked very well, was fast, and reliable. Although we had a room facing the train station, there was no noise coming from that side. The 'balcony' was on the east side, which means in the evening you get no sun. This was solved by closing this space, which was great. It allowed us to leave our luggage there (no room in the main part) and was also a very nice space just to sit, read, and relax.

AustriaStaff is kind and courteous, the room is squeaky clean. I enjoyed, that the rooms are oddly shaped (not just rectangles), the view is pleasant and complementary coffee was a surprising bonus Although, if your sleep is sensitive, beware that the sound isolation is not the best, but overall it's not that much of a problem Thank you so much

South AfricaNothing, all was good.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good value and coffee/tea were available all day. The location was ideal, minutes from the station and a good base to explore the surrounding area - only 10 minutes from Haarlem, 30 minutes from Amsterdam. I will definitely stay here again!
