Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Top spot to stay with views across the canals. One of the best views from a hotel room I have ever had. Highlight of the stay was sitting having a cup of tea with the windows open looking out across the canal with the sun streaming in. Fantastic. Staff were very helpful and gave us a place to store luggage after check out until early afternoon.

Fabulous location! Many dining options within a ten minute walk, also close to public transport. Our canal view room gave us an excellent vantage point to observe all the activities on the water.

United StatesWe were there in August and it was warm. With window open to get air at night, we heard sirens and honking horns so had to shut the window so then it was very hot. There was a fan but only could be directed to one room section so other person got no sleep. We alternated who got sleep. Despite this we would highly recommend.
Very well kept, clean, lovely interior and exterior. Biggest plus was looking out the open window to the canal. Breakfast was very good in a beautiful dining room. Walking distance to most everything, restaurants a couple blocks away. We walked to all museums., within a half hour. Very safe location.

CanadaWe had a room for 3 adults on the top floor, my partner and I travelling with my elderly dad. The room was very small, long and narrow, with 3 of the smallest beds I've ever seen. 2 were tucked under either side of a wooden table, leaving even less bed space! The bathroom was tiny, and very sloped. The tub was unnerving, it sloped sideways and also to one end. We had communicated several times with the property to make sure we would have access to a lift, etc if we weren't on the ground floor, and we did have that. We traveled light, just carryons, but there was not enough space to open suitcases except on the tiny beds. More like a hostel space than a hotel. Bed size should be noted in the listing...these beds might be 30 inches wide, not what hotel rooms typically have. Only 1 small fan, and very few plugs in room, so limited in where to put it to make any difference in very warm room.
Quaint,old style hotel in heart of Amsterdam. Sits in edge of canal next to little bridge, watching boats go by was fun, and pretty when lit up in evening. Just a block away from Rembrantplein Square, lots of restaurants and pubs to grab a bite to eat or a coffee at Starbucks. Location is good, staff were friendly. Easy walk, about 20-30 minutes to Anne Frank House, Van Gogh museum, flower market, other points of interest.
