Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThere is definitely a communication problem. We hung around for nearly an hour without being able to check in, because no one answered between 4 and 5 p.m. on the phone.
Interesting art hotel, good location, short walk into Groningen centre.

United KingdomI prefer a harder bed for my back but that's just me!
Near the park, opposite a nice Italian restaurant, quirky place and some fantastic art books lying around to look at. Breakfast massive and excellent.

NetherlandsMaybe the gigantic wall mounted mirror next to the bed is somewhat kinky, but that's up to the visitor to see that as a positive or a negative. Definitely interesting.
It's a bit boutique like, feels unique. There is a lovely innercourt outdoor sitting area. The room is compacter, yet not uncomfortable and very well equipped.

NetherlandsThe LABnul50 was a perfect place for a one-night stand in Groningen. The design is unique and interesting. The ceiling is very high. The rooms were small though, but it's not a big deal

SwedenArtsy nice hotel with the little extra touch. Rooms nicely decorated and big, we had a room with four beds (one double and two single in bed cabinets). Had a lounge area in the room and also a bigger table and chairs for eating. Plus for the Nespresso machine and capsules in the room. Shared two toilets and showers with one other room only. Was clean and had everything you needed. We didnt use the terrace since it was rainy but it had a lovely outdoor terrace in the yard. Good location, close to city center. Parking garage next to the hotel aswell as a supermarket.

IrelandOur Bathroom was very small and literally in a box. The doors wouldn't close fully,so you would want to be pretty close to the person you are sharing the room with.
We've made a family trip to Groningen. We were delighted with the facilities, location and friendliness of the staff! The rooms are different and cosy. This is not a 5 star hotel but it met all of our needs and more. You can bring your own food as every room has a shelve in the communal fridge and there is a small kitchen also with delve, microwave and kettle. The place was quiet and only a 10min walk into the town centre. If you are looking for a friendly, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Groningen, i highly recommend Labnul50!

GreeceIt met my expectations.
The hotel area was great, nice small lobby where the fridges are located, a common terrace, and an outdoors yard with tables that belongs to the patisserie downstairs. Their stuff are accommodating all guest and they are very helpful. Independent entry after their working hours. Great private rooms, with toiletries, espresso machine, capsules. Very clean too.

NetherlandsThe shower is very small and has a curtain, which meant for me that it was constantly sticking to me. There were also very few outlets and not all lights were working which made the room very dark.
The location was perfect and the room is good value for your money. A bit small but very comfortable, especially the bed.

South AfricaThe check-in process was a bit tricky, as on weekends after 12pm there are no people around to assist and we had to phone a number to check-in. Unfortunately, as we are from South Africa, we only had a data SIM and not one that could do actual phone calls, and they did not answer a WhatsApp call either. Luckily for us, a very kind gentleman who rents some studio space at Labnul50, happened to walk by and gave his phone to us to make the call to check in. I did not ask his name but he says every now and then he receives an espresso on the house from the restaurant and this was his way of paying it forward, I was very touched to hear the generosity from both parties. It all worked out well for us, but just thought I would mention this process.
This was our favourite place to stay during our trip in the Netherlands. Groningen has a nice vibe to it and we were pleasantly surprised at Labnul50 and how arty and interesting it is. Our room was very interesting and we found it amazing how creatively it was decorated. The bed was absolutely amazing!! If the shower curtain was a shower door, it would have been the perfect shower! It was small, but comfortable enough for two people and we didn't have space issues. Very clean and neat, we would stay here again.
