Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandNo AC (fan provided). Bathroom.. hmm.. from one hand nice concept, half opened, first impression great. But in practice a bit uncomfortable, noisy in room.
Beautifully located, close to the train station and streets full of bars and restaurants, and from the other hand far from crowd and rumors. Nice staff, you can leave luggage before and after your stay.

NetherlandsFor being next to a channel and within the city center area, it was kind of noisy all night long - not too much, but if you easily wake up during the night, think carefully.
Very cozy hotel, room was nice, roomier than expected, clean and comfortable. Location is great, walking distance to the entire Delft city center.

SwedenYou can hear everything from other rooms. Not very child friendly. First day we have not towels for our baby even if they knew we were coming with her. It has lot of stairs and narrow corridors very hard to access with pram, which we knew but we'd expected to be given a room on the lowest floor and close to the stairs not have to do all the way with the corridor. We got one on the upper floor and on the end of the entrance. NOTICE!Depending with which type of pram you travel with you might need to fold it to go through! They have bike rental service, but once more, not seat for children.
It was good in general. Very central and convenient.

United KingdomNo air con....only fans. Room was a bit hot and there was no way to cool it down. Windows opened....but as its on the canal this let the mosquitos in and I got badly bitten. Hotel is also very noisy. The walls are very thin and the conversion hasn't been soundproofed so it has noise from adjoining rooms and those above. Ear plugs are provided!
Hotel is very close to the station and trains are frequent to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and everywhere in between. Also very central for Delft which is a beautiful city. Rooms are comfortable. Good beds, shower has good pressure. Fridge and kettle are very useful too.

SwedenThin walls, which made a lot of noise leak in from the outside. Not a massive problem though as the streets were very quiet at night, and the hotel provided ear plugs.
Lovely little hotel centrally located in Delft. Old building with lots of character. Short walk both from the train station and centre. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly and welcoming staff. Cosy lounge areas as well.

United StatesWish you had phones in the annex rooms to connect to the main reception (lobby area). Also it would be convenient to have Do not Disturb signs you can hang outside your door so housekeeping doesn’t knock.
Hotel Grand Canals location is ideal for using the train or tram. Walking to the center of the city was easy too. We even walked to the Delft Factory.

United StatesThere was no elevator and the stairs are steep. Staff was not trained to give advice on where to eat. The room smelled - we had to keep our window open at all times due to the smell. Breakfast was expensive for what it was.
The property is close to the train station.

United KingdomWe booked a small double room but hadn't realised just how small it would be! Very little floor space so couldn't open our case on the floor. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever been in. The hot breakfast was very poor. It had been cooked and hour before so the eggs were inedible. However the cold items were good
Good location and very clean

AustraliaShower curtain needs to keep the water in (and not let water splash outside).
Excellent location as it is a four minute walk from Delft station. Situated right on the canal so some rooms have a lovely view. The reception and restaurant (1st level) are done up really well. Very friendly and helpful staff.

United StatesStudent housing is very close by. When the hotel leaves ear plugs on the night stand- that means something. Our first night was definitely an ear plug night because of a big college party right across the street. The other 2 nights were fine.
Great location and easy to get around the town.

United StatesProximity to the Train Station. The facade of the building, the entryway and the lounge were very quaint but my room was modernly renovated. The white colors added some light and warmth. My bed was so comfortable!! Everyday, I look forward to the breakfast. They are delicately presented and so yummy 😋

Ireland4pm check - it’s later than a lot of hotels we have stayed in & the room was not available any earlier. Considering check out is 11am it’s a shame. The pillows are like a brick! I did ask if I could change it. Reception asked housekeeping and it was a flat no. I found a cushion to use instead.
We had a very pleasant 3 night’s stay -Sat/Sun/Mon. Room was a good size. We liked having the seating area beside the windows looking out at the canal. Plenty of storage and a small handy fridge. The bathroom has been modernised and the shower is great! Reception Staff are friendly. We had breakfast in the hotel on the first morning- plenty of choice and helpful staff. Location is excellent- not too far from the station and a pleasant stroll from the centre.

JapanNo elevator. Narrow, steep stairs up was tough with the suitcase. Wake up call by ducks/swans at the canal way before expected time. But even these downsides make you feel you're in Delft and give you unforgettable experiences.
