The room is small, the shower was dirty, the room was dirty and everything needs rennovation. The biggest problem is that there was supposed to be 2 single beds and one double bed. However this double bed was only slightly larger than standard single bed so beware if you really need 4 places to sleep.

The only thing why you should choose this accomodation is because of the location very close to city centre. The stairs often mentioned in the reviews are absolutely ok for this location. Also as a bonus there was a shower at our room.

Bathroom was very small and the shower had nothing to prevent water from getting absolutely everywhere. Beds were also extremely noisy, every movement made the springs creak horrifically.

If you're able to handle the stairs this place is very convenient and close to the city centre. Rooms were modest but clean, staff were very friendly and helpful.

You have to climb all the stairs for 2 to 3 floors and there is no elevator. The rooms and bathroom were not very clean.

Walls needed a paint, sheet were clean but stained. Some of the showers need a simple bit of work, shower head to be attached to the wall, somewhere for your shower gel, etc.

Convenience, well located, it did what it said it would do. No bunk beds which was a bonus for us, bed we're incredibly comfortable.

Room was very small and hot. I had to keep window closed in rainy days making it even more hot. No AC or fans available. Bed was not very comfortable. Room was not very clean either. Amenities were ok, but could need more regular cleaning.

Hotel is quite central. Most Amsterdam's sightseeing were within 30 min reach by foot. Anne Frank house was at about 5 min walk. Staff was very friendly and always available to help. I had my sheet wet due to a thunderstorm and they assisted to change them. WiFi was great.

Super steep stairs, no breakfast (even though it was advertised as included in price), bed slanted to one side. My original room was over a busy street and was very loud with the buses and trams than ran until almost 1am. However, I was able to switch to a quieter room for the remainder of my stay, thankfully. One night someone knocked on my door at midnight, which was a bit unnerving and when I didn't answer I heard scratching on my door a few minutes later; the place generally felt safe, except that night.

I would not book this place if you are expecting a 'normal' hotel experience. It is what it is - small rooms with basic facilities and shared bathrooms. The staff were excellent, though.

Amsterdam hotel prices have become so expensive these days. This was the best room I could find when you look at value for money and I still paid 90 euros for a really small room and a shower on another level....

The location is nice. In the middle of several drinking areas and close to Central Station.

like Every one are talking here, Location is Great! Right next to Anne Frank house.The staff are super super nice and friendly which compensates some odds. The steps are very steep but that's how the older construction of houses in city, if you have very large bags watch out. My Room didn't have A/C, if you are travelling on hot summer days, check on it. Budget friendly. Sharing bathrooms are right next door, just for shower you need to go one floor down or up. Stay was great to me.Leaving key with them is no problem its just for there safety, most of European hotels ask for ( not talking about 5star hotels here). Bonus Tip-Try Turkey pizza at Effendy -Lahmacun Cafe (Jordaan) 5mins walk :-)

I didn’t realise I’d have to climb 56 very steep stairs to my room. I worked out that I could go out all day long and only have to do it once a day. The room was pretty Spartan, and no en suite, but the loo was next door.

The hotel was basic, but the person on duty each day was friendly and helpful

I've seen psych ward rooms that looked better than my room, but it has it's charm and for the price it's still better than sleeping in a hostel with 7 strangers in the room. Space is limited (especially in the bathroom it's hard to turn around) but the staff makes it up in service.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room fullfilled its purpose. The location was great, extremely central and in a nice area to take a stroll around.
