rooms are a bit dirty but it’s waaay better than I expected from a two stars hotel.

I loved the location and the service, they welcomed us as we were already part of their family.

Central location, friendly staff, the room suited our needs - four walls and a roof. Nothing to complain about -- was exactly in line with expectations. Seems most "negative" comments come from travelers having expectations above what they booked. In my opinion, I expected a pleasant stay and the place gave me precisely that. The hotel is very accessible.

Staircase very steep! Floors quite dirty, wouldn’t even walk without shoes on. Walls really need a refresh as well. We didn’t end up with the room we booked. We were supposed to have a “city view”, instead we had a wall view in a smaller bedroom with very old, dusty, furniture. Finally, bathroom tap was blocked to BURNING water for the whole stay (5 days) despite warning the staff. Definitely not worth the money…

No lift, so carrying any type of luggage through almost vertical stairs is a total challenge. The carpet is so moldy that if you don’t have the windows open all day long it will smell horrendous. You can hear everything from the street to the other rooms. Room size is, until now, the smallest we’ve ever been in. Can’t even open a luggage. Bathroom sink had a leakage and from the shower you ended wetting the whole bathroom.

The location is amazing, in the middle of Amsterdam, everything at walking distance. The staff is super friendly, kind and proactive. There is a working safe, very useful.

The shower is so weird with it being too high and splashing water all over the floor and the temperature is so difficult to manage.

- thin walls, you could hear a lot of noise coming from the next rooms and outside- people, pigeons; - it's an old house and there's no lift, you will have to carry your luggage up a lot of narrow stairs;

- close to central station; - nice staff; - clean place.

I believe some of the points I list below are just common for old buildings: - I could hear the people in the room next to mine though they were not noisy and at night it was quiet. - I could hear my own steps when you walk in the room, no matter how smooth I walked. - It does not have an elevator, and the stairs are very narrow and make some noise. - The carpet looked very old and had some stains. - The radiator was broken and rusty. - Very early checkout (10:00).

I just stayed for one night and I could sum my experience as a good one: - At a central location. - The mattress was comfortable. - The room was clean and bright. - The Internet (Wi-Fi) worked without any issue.
