Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsSome fan or device was making Noise entire night. it came from a ventilation shaft above the mirror and it wasn't the airco because i turned it off. Only around 3am it stopped, and started again at around 06:30 am. Very annoying and couldn't sleep due to that noise. Even my earplugs couldn't silence it.

NetherlandsThe room was a bit smaller than I thought. There was no electric kettle (water boiler) in the room to have tea, so I used the coffee machine for hot water. I had arranged a late check-out (until 3:00 PM), but still my card was deactivated after 12:00 PM. This bug could be fixed. A clothing iron would be nice in the room.
The staff were friendly. The TV in the room was big and gave a good experience watching movies. The view from my room was green trees, which I liked.

ChinaBetter tell the guests that the bottles of water here are not free. The bathroom is a bit small and there is no space to place my bathroom supplies.
I came to Utrecht to attend the academic conference, which was held at Utrecht Central. At first, I was concerned about the distance. But when I arrived here, I found the traffic was convenient. There are tram stops and bus stops near the hotel, which make my travel to the central station easy (about 13 minutes). Also, the environment of my room in the hotel is good and the people here are nice. Not bad. I recommend Bastion !!

NetherlandsThings to improve are: 1) When I arrived, the safe in the room did not work. Apparently, there was a slot for 4 AA batteries, of which 1 was missing. I had to buy batteries to replace and then it worked fine. Most probably, someone from the guests took one battery from there. Of course, the staff could not apriorily know that, but probably it is possible to check it at least periodically 2) In the shower, the drain of the water was not functioning properly, so when having strong water flow, the water gathered on the floor so that it was not possible to take shower for longer. After that, it took some time for the water to drain off 3) If would be good to arrange a kind of shelf in the shower to place shampoo/shower gel there
Good points are: 1) Nice location - quiet, close to green areas where it is great to walk around, and at the same time close to bus and tram stations, about 10-15 min on bus from city center and old touristic places 2) Good A/C in the room, works fine and is adjustable, not like sometimes when it either does not work or you cannot tune it - here it was great 3) Good and tasty breakfast 4) Polite and helpful staff 5) Really hot water and strong water flow in the shower 6) Safe in the room 7) Good internet 8) Ergonomic room with good desk to work at

Romaniait feels overpriced (at least for me), location is a bit far from city center (1 hour walk) or using public transport (20-30 minutes), toiletries are rather basic, the overall feeling you get is that is needs a bit more care
free private parking at the hotel (both underground parking garage and in front of hotel, secured), room is fairly comfortable, quiet neighborhood, staff is nice and helpful, breakfast (extra fee) was very good in the morning, elevator and card access even on floor (not only to room), bars downstairs

Czech RepublicThe floor in the room dissipates heat very well, so walking barefoot or in socks is not very comfortable. And not many people pack slippers on a business trip. Room equipment is very spartan - capsule coffee machine, but only sugar and powdered milk available Cyclists cross the street smoothly, pedestrians are ignored by cars. But this is not the hotel fault 😊
Breakfast excellent, location convenient for transport by car or bike, on foot it is strange. The pedestrians are almost extinct species here. The hotel staff is very helpful. Room was very clean and quiet.
