Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We truly appreciated being able to check in early as we had come from the cruise ship that docked in Rotterdam. Linda and her staff at the front desk were so helpful at getting 4 tired travellers booked in. Linda was very helpful in giving us directions to the train and how to get to Rotterdam central.

BrazilThe staff is really rude, from the recepcionist to the Bartender, our group witnessed the receptionist speaking loudly and hanging up the phone on a customer who was asking for information. The Bartender that serve us was very unpleasant and disrepectful at the bar, he pretends to be talking on the phone to avoid to serve us, and at the end he says he didn't speak any dutch answering our customer. It's just one guy at all, all the other are very nice, but this really pissed up our group.
Good hotel, with huge and nice infrastructure. Everything is clean and good bed. One of the people left a blazer and a T-Shirt at Hotel, we asked for someone see it for us and hold it for a friend of us pick up, they didn't answer the e-mail, they just said at phone that they didn't find it at the phone if even look for it.

GermanyOur room was located right next to the elevator, which gave a clicking sound while being used. That was unfortunately noisy and hearable during the night. During our down time before falling asleep, we heard that clicking all the time. We were surprised that there was no ventilation in the bathroom and lastly the magazine in the room, had really good tips about what to tour in Rotterdam, unfortunately the last few pages had a jacky stain. All in all a really good hotel to stay and recommend.
The location was perfect. The bed was super comfy, the dense mattress was exactly to our liking and the room was very clean. The Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, 5 stars more than deserved :) Helped with all the necessary information to tour Rotterdam. The underground car park was exactly what we wanted and the staff explained to us perfectly how to find our designated parking lot. The lobby and dining area looked very smooth and clean.

United StatesShower water was difficult to get right. We pretty much had to let it dribble or you get scalded. We also had A/C problems and card key issues every day. Front desk tried to resolve them but it was tiring going to them repeatedly. Still, highly recommended.
Excellent for us-Metro was just outside and cruise terminal two stops away. Our room was spacious and well stocked. The restaurant was very good (Italian specialty).

UkraineJust something that fellow car travellers should know - their parking is rather narrow and only fits smaller cars, so if you have a van / camper / SUV, you might not fit.
Great rooms with modern and luxurious interior, amazing view from the top floor, also very clean. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
