Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

QatarI requested our two rooms together and we didn't get them until the 3rd day. A little bit messed up by the hotel staff. The A/C wasn't cooling at all in one of the rooms until they managed to change our room next to the other.

BelgiumPrices of the room and the breakfast (19.50 eur) are in my opinion overrated. No orange juice for ex. (only powder mixed with water from the machine), with not much choice for the breakfast. Rather small and not most comfortable room.

You have to go up in an elevator to reception, just go back down again on ground floor… I found that super awkward. No one came to see me at breakfast, and there’s hardly any food in the buffet

NetherlandsSomeone tried (and could!) to open our door at 1 am for around 20 minutes! First someone tried and couldn't and later, probably someone from the reception come with the key and opened! Luckily I closed the door with lock and they figured out was a wrong room, but was not a nice experience at all! We went for relaxing and I finishing having a bad night because of that. After writing a mail I only received a: "sorry for that, is not going to happen again", but I never knew why that happens because was of course a mistake with the other persons.
Nice breakfast! The room was clean and big.
