Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Stunning game farm, did one of the best game drives with the owner Heiko. He is very knowledgeable and told us a lot about nature and Namibia in general. He also cooked dinner which was delicious. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, beautiful views from the room watching the animals roam free. Will visit again soon.

United StatesThis felt like a remote homestay, with so many personal touches and more in the wild and close to animals than our stay in Etosha. The room was gorgeous and comfortable, and the food was excellent. Heiko was an amazing host and led us on a game drive around the property in the morning. Thank you Heiko!

The food was incredible ; all of it was really nicely made homegrown and homemade. The game drive is excellent, Heiko the host clearly knows his stuff and is more than happy to share how the wildlife reserve works - including the impact a dryer or a wetter year may have; how the various animals interact together and more. What he is doing here is really fantastic and a highlight of the trip. The walk around the property was also quite pleasant.

South AfricaWi-fi coverage is not available in the rooms, you essentially have to go to a hotspot - air-conditioning in the rooms would be nice, although there is a fan in the rooms. Unfortunately, the water hole was dry
If you are looking for a rustic place to get away from it all, this is the place to come. The host is always making sure that you are well looked after - the breakfast was good.

BelgiumWOOOW what a great place to stay. Superb place to stay away from busy life. A great place to find silence and enjoy Namibia's nature. Rooms are comfortable, everything one needs is present. No swimming pool which would be the only thing we would like to have had. but hey, all the rest makes you forget the pool. And the best experience is the host Heiko ! He knows what hospitality means. always friendly and helpful, serves you your dinner. And do ask for a game/nature drive. He knows a lot and gives so much information. And we have had many drives in the 10 years we are now coming to Namibia . Heiko is one of the best guide we have ever had. A place we will visit again.

- the owner, Heiko, is the highlight of this incredible place . We learned soooo much from him about African wildlife and wildlife management. The game drive was fantastic and very reasonably priced. - the rooms are beautiful and super clean and comfortable - the grounds are gorgeous - the most breathtaking sunsets every night from from your balcony - great hiking trails - the animals !! We saw many giraffes , hippos , crocs, and endless types of antelope and birds - driving north from there included a drive through Erindi park , which was spectacular and we also saw lots of wildlife . Thanks Heiko for convincing us to take the back road ! It was just perfect . - the food !!!! We are all meals here for 2 days and everything was superb .

United StatesOvita Wildlife Restcamp is about 2 hours north of Windhoek, so we made this our stopping point for our first night in Namibia and are so glad we did! It made for a nice relaxing 4-1/2 drive to Etosha the next day. This lodge is located about 40km down a dirt road off the main highway going to Etosha. Imagine our surprise seeing so many animals on this road! Wart hogs, springbok, baboons, oryx, even two giraffes right next to the road. Welcome to Africa! We were already absolutely giddy when we arrived at Heiko's, only to have that feeling last our entire stay at his beautiful lodge. We rented two rooms, and they are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous with good water pressure. Ovita has lots of animals, including hippos, and we got to listen to them during the night. Heiko is a trained chef and made us a good warm meal, and thankfully because it was Sunday and we weren't allowed to buy alcohol at the store, he has a cooler with drinks available on the honor system. You write down what you have and pay when you check out. We stargazed, listened to the animals, had a sundowner, and thoroughly enjoyed our first night in Africa. It couldn't have been a better more enjoyable experience for our first night. The next morning his wife took us to see the hippos and crocodiles at the other water hole near their house. She was lovely and so kind. Don't hesitate-stay here to start your Namibia vacation in a beautiful setting and a first night in Africa that you'll never forget.

ItalyPlace was nice and quite, however, on that day, there were only two rooms booked, so no idea how it is when it is fully booked. But in general no reason to complain, just remember to bring cash with you.
This place went well beyond our expectations! We decided to stop here on the way from etosha to windhoek and we discovered a paradise: pond with hyppos, very nice view, so relaxing. The rooms have personality and fit perfectly in the landscape, the guy running the structure is very nice and he cooked the best meal we had in Namibia!
