We loved our stay at the Resort. We went for just a mini vacation to relax and snorkel. The 7 minute walk down from the ferry dock is not difficult as it is similar to a sidewalk, so easy to pull a wheeled suitcase. Just walk to the end of the dock, turn left and it's on the main path. Well labelled and easy to find. The whole staff at Tioman Dive are so friendly, and when you went into your immaculate room with the air conditioning already on; it was just perfect. It's the little details that we love so much. Love the hammocks. The snorkel equipment to rent was the cheapest on the island and in the water directly in front of reception is an amazing reef. We saw a reef shark, lots of different kinds of coral and fishes. It was wonderful. The bar and surrounding restaurants had excellent food. We explored and walked down to the pizza place and it was fabulous. The staff even directed us towards another place when we inquired about kayak rentals at sunset. The wifi in the room was our only negative. The booking said there was Wi-Fi in the rooms but it's very spotty. Even our cellular service kept dropping. To have consistent connection you'd have to go down towards the lobby. Not ideal when you are responding to emails or have two teenagers in tow but we survived ;).

The Australian Dive instructor, she was quite rude.

The Room was really good. Comfortable in every possible way. Very spacious, great beds and amazing shower. Both aircon and fan working very well. Staff was very friendly. Well located (even considered the low season).

It’s a bit far from anything else to do on the island, and the beach is quite rocky so it’s a challenging place to just hang out. I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than two or three nights if you’re planning to do anything else besides dive. Be extra wary of sand flies at dusk. We were traveling with a five-year-old and I wouldn’t say this particular area is very kid friendly due to the beach conditions and the lack of a swimming pool.

We stayed here as we wanted to dive, and the dive instructors are excellent. The room is very comfortable. there is excellent snorkeling right in front of the hotel.

I guess communication, was the main problem. Before arrival I was texting the hotel which also operates a scuba diving center, that I would like to do scuba. Since we didn’t know what days we will be there, I asked if I can also book some dives upon arrival. We get there and the lady at the reception tells me they are booked out for scuba, during our stay. So, as a guest of a dive hotel, I had no other option than to look for another dive center. Next thing, they had a Halloween party and buffet at the first night of our stay. We didn’t get any info about the party and definitely no invitation for that buffet. I asked the owner if we could join, and he told us that they sent an email to all the guests, which we definitely didn’t get! He continues to say it is not possible to join since we didn’t sign up for the buffet and to go eat somewhere else. After finding dinner, we could join them for drinks. This is the first hotel ever that had sent their own guests away, excluding them from an event specifically for hotel guests. Third thing, there’s no noise isolation in the rooms whatsoever. The Halloween party went up to 2am that night. People at the party were shouting without consideration to other guests. We could hear them all the way to our room even though we were towards the back of the property and on the second floor. Lastly, the reception has opening hours from 7am to 5pm, but from the three times we went, two times nobody was there

Right by the water, spacious room, very comfortable bed. For Tioman accommodation, definitely a nice one. Breakfast place right next to it, buffet and always a nice table by the water

Some of the staff members werent very nice .. the beach is rocky but thats our fault we didnt do a proper research.. if you are after beaches I recommend the next beach Salang. More chilled vibes but it’s also more quiet and completely dead in off season.. B&J hotel is the only place that has a bar with alcohol.. overall all ok but we were disappointed with the beach

Internet in the rooms wasn’t great. The accommodation was super nice - it was just really not the cheapest (for budget travelers) but yet the most comfortable and best option!

Very clean and spacious rooms that were very comfortable - especially the bed! The staff and the Dive instructors at B&J (Dive Resort & B&J work together) were really great and it was fun staying here! Diving was also great.

Only difficulty we had was in finding good vegetarian food. Although the cafe tried to cater to our needs, it was just about manageable.

It's a great place for diving enthusiasts. Nice facilities and certified instructors are available for experiencing or learning diving or snorkeling. Also great opportunity to meet other divers from all over. Stay facilities are very nice - clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and courteous.

The beachfront area here is very rocky and not suitable for any leisure beach activities, however, sandy beaches are within walking distance. Renting a bicycle for rm5 or moped for rm20 an hour is highly recommended to get around, especially if you want to visit the main town of Tekek, and there are numerous places providing this service in the area. Many local businesses have closed down due to the pandemic, but for some reason are still listed as "open" on Google maps.

Big, clean and comfortable rooms, really friendly and helpful staff, nice areas to chill out and have a drink, love the location as it's away from the main town area and much quieter and more secluded. Many restaurants & convenience stores nearby. Although TDR is essentially listed as a place for scuba divers, it's also suitable for non-divers who just want a nice relaxing getaway. Five days felt too short, that's how nice it is!

The immediate beach area is not especially attractive by Tioman standards. The terrace outside of the rooms is a common stairwell area so not the most relaxing.

We loved our stay here. Very spacious and clean rooms with comfy beds. The ladies at the reception are very friendly and extremely helpful. The B&J dive center is super professional, good quality equipment and motivated guides. We did 4 dives and had a fantastic time. Can defiantly recommend the hotel and the dive centre. Hope to be back soon!
