The location is very strategic, very close to the infamous street food of Penang. The room and entire building are clean, you have to wear the property's sandals when entering it, which makes it always tidy and clean. I enjoyed my stay here!

Staff at reception was not very welcoming. Just gave me a key and I had to cross the road to the building where the dorm is. I stayed in so many hostels but this was the most impersonal. I got a weird email before arrival that reception closes at 6:30pm and that I should bring small money for tax and something is wrong with my credit card. I paid in advance incl tax so I was confused because everything was right but I never got an answer to this so I had to hurry. I booked it because it was the cheapest place so I can’t expect too much I guess. No kitchen. If you want more than just a bed to sleep better go somewhere else.

2 things: 1. No towels provided, so don't forget to bring a towel. 2. No tea/coffee facilities. It's unfortunate that there is no water/kettle/cups or anything for guests to use. There is a cafe, but it was never open, so you have to go out for coffee in the morning which is pretty annoying. I can understand if you want to sell coffee in the cafe so you don't put those facilities for free, but if you're gonna do that at least open the cafe! It's very annoying when I'd be happy to either make an instant coffee or buy one from the cafe, but can't do either. Guests can just stare at the non operational cafe and can not even get some hot water.

It's a cool space. There is a lot of interesting art and poetry all over the walls and comfy couches to chill on. The staff and other guests were friendly.

Found bed bugs the morning after my first night. I’m sure this doesn’t happen often as the staff were very quick to apologise and offer a change of room or a full refund for my stay. Well handled and would give this another go.

Room is perfect but outside On roof they have plastic shed so in rain day sound coming in Tak...Tak....tak...and also 10 ringgit overcharged but owner say me this is tourist tax to government

I booked for 2 but at the last minute another friend decided to tag along. The guesthouse didn't have an extra room for us to book, but the receptionist gave us extra towels & blankets for our comfort which I didn't request so I thought that was a good start to our stay. Receptionist & securities were friendly. The room was alright, it gave us a feeling of somewhat being in Bali for a moment which was nice. Quiet place filled with plants smack in the city. Loved it.

Hair dropped mixed withn dirt blocking the drain hole in most of the bathrooms. It caused flood during shower in the bathrooms that needed cleaning. I didn't like the narrow bathrooms which were dirty, not clean. I did not like and refused my bed being placed right infront of the toilet/bathroom door, but luckily my request to change bed and room was granted. Lastly, thetr was garbage overflow on/around the bins upstairs and empty bottles everywhere. Not happy with cleanliness standard at this hostel.

It was a peaceful, short stay. Short walk to Komtar, Prangin Mall and local kopitiam with plenty of choices. I liked the excellent location. The staff was friendly and helpful and I feel safe with the night security guard. I definitely appreciated the complimentary filtered water supply at the lounge area, and cozy places to sit in the salon at night. I also liked the complimentary locker, which could be bigger.

The wall is so thin , i can hear other talk walk at midnight that wake me up.

It’s a lovely old house located in the town , easy to get food or drink. Can walk to many famous place.but in the picture it shows 3 doors in front of the guesthouse , actually they only have a little 1 door , not look beautiful as the picture by the outside. By the way the room was nice , cute room except the stair , it’s so high to go to the room. The bathroom quite less. I was in a private room with shared bathroom, my room wasn’t that clean , i found some dust at the electrical plug.

I didn't care for the bathroom, lacking in space, sinks and shower/toilet rooms. Primitive setup with just enough to take care of oneself. The bunk room's bathroom felt a bit like being in a barn with the exterior wall open to the outside atmosphere. To be honest not an inspiring atmosphere. But better than the Dou Houz setup.

The beds are so uncomfortable Pillows very bad So many noises, you can hear everything, the floor, the door, people talking, shouting, people kept coming and going out of the room all night
