The parking is a walking distance away and limited. The bathroom does not have a bidet. The walkway to the room had a faint trash smell. But otherwise everything was great. It's my second time and I forgot how nice the place is.

The hotel is beautiful with heritage elements. It's really pretty at every corner. Check in was easy. The room took time to get cold but was super clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to jonker street, accessible to massage options, shops, cafes, street foods. The breakfast was great!

The pressure of the shower was low. Toilet flush system was leaking too. AC to rooms 216 & 219 weren’t cold enough but still comfortable. Property is a little dated with maintenance needed in some areas. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

Staffs were efficient and check-in fast. Beautiful property with lots of history.

While I understand it is inconvenient, when I arrived earlier than I expected, I was feeling very unwell. I really needed to lie down (it was probably a combination of general exhaustion, no sleep on my flight, jet lag, and adjustment to humidity but it felt like I could pass out at any minute). I hadn't eaten much in the previous 24hrs and I was hungry. I was told to go across the road (it was closed) and I was in no state to wander around in the heat. I waited 3 hrs to go to my room, and a couple more hours to get some food.

This is an attractively decorated hotel. The aircon is great. The breakfast is very good. I had one evening meal there which was very tasty. The location in the old town is excellent. The room was large and the bed very comfortable.

Bathroom was adequate but just tiny. I didn't see an iron or hair dryer in the room but we might have been able to request these. Aircon was working but two of them had problems. One had to be turned on and off manually. The other was freezing regardless of setting. The breakfast was really hit and miss. Some items were pretty ordinary and others were delightfully tasty. Definitely more local food should be featured.

Charming old school Peranakan decor throughout this beautiful heritage building. Our room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Comfy lounge area in the room. We loved the carved wooden screen doors in our room. Plantation shutters behind glass windows very stylish. Tea and coffee facilities in room and bar fridge. Quiet, surrounded by peaceful, lush courtyards. In house cafe has garden seating with greenery and a waterfall. Room service and cafe food was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Our room was too dark for my taste, because of the wooden shutters. They were, however, necessary during the day, to keep out the heat. I wish there was a way to lighten the room, at least in the morning.

The hotel is a Peranakan-style mansion. This alone is very impressing. We took time to appreciate and relish all the details that were placed and kept with loving attention. Wonderful shaded inner courtyard, a true gem to flee the heat. Also a nice little museum room, to learn a bit of Malacca's history. The breakfast was good, and served in another very charming inner patio, it was delightful. The air-conditioning unit was well placed, not facing directly on the bed.

The breakfast could be improved. There are limited choices and the eggs were not excellent (good, but could be better).

Location is excellent, right in the middle of the old town. The hotel is very nice with modern facilities in a building that keeps the old time charm

Huge comfortable lobby, nice breakfast outdoor seating in the court yard. Beautiful garden, great location. Nearby many cute little eating places and cafes. Close to the river and jonkerwalk.

Unfortunately, I forgot my phone in one of their rooms. Although, I could see on find my iPhone that the phone is at the establishment, they could not find it. I should not have forgotten my phone but I was hoping they could find it.

It is located 150m to Jonker street which is a huge advantage. The property itself is like a museum with so many antiques and rustic deco. Great staff, decent breakfast and good spa. I had an issue with the water pump in room 227. It was late and the staff decided to upgrade me to a better room.

Hotel was as we remembered from previous visit with improvement of air conditioning. Atmosphere in hotel was very authentic. Breakfasts were really good. Room was excellent after change so we could have a bath. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
