Air-conditioning was loud and some lights stayed on during the night, which disturbed my partner's sleep Building work was quite loud during the day Lift doors shut very quickly and didn't stop if someone was in the middle of them - my partner got trapped in it on the way up to our room when we arrived

The owner has worked hard to create a gem in this seafront area. The hotel is Hollywood and Star Wars themed, super clean and efficient. Nice terrace bar. Next to market and great seafood restaurant. Perfect in this category.

At night many illegal stall selling foods at the road side. Road are very narrow. Find a bit difficult to get a grab.

-The car parking is quite limited. No definite parking provided by hotel. -The breakfast menu is ordinary. However the taste is delicious. -The most I dislike is the bathroom door which is made by glass. Even worse you cannot lock the door. Your children can open the door at anytime. Not feeling secure at all during taking the bath or using the toilet.

This hotel is a must to stay if someone want visit Sandakan. The location is very strategic, in front of the mall & besides the beach. The staff is really helpful and friendly. You can take many outstanding picture here including the beautiful words SANDAKAN. The breakfast cafe is wonderfully decorated with magnificient seaview.At night, you can walk alongside the beach with many restaurants available. A lot of foreigner tourists stay in this hotel. It obviously shows thar this hotel is among well known hotel among the tourists.

The location was great, close to waterfront, restaurants and shops. Breakfast was very average and not much choice for westerners. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a Seaview which was lovely.

Very nice hotel and staff, right in the middle of the city with the pier and a shopping center right across the street; the breakfast takes place in the cafe at the corner with sea view and is very good; wifi worked for us all the time; we would come back

Still the rooms were not that clean and there was a nasty smell in the morning (maybe because of the stinky harbour). Breakfast was not good. No western style options besides plain toast and eggs. We would have been happy if there only was strawberry jam. It’s not that hard since like almost everyone in the reviews talks about it. Would be a huge upgrade!

Right in the City Centre with a nice massage studio around the corner (Lynn‘s). Rooms were good, nice sea view! The staff is very friendly and the hotel‘s style is unique. Price is okay for one night.

1. water pressure wasn't great 2. bathroom door - this door acts as a shower door and/or toilet door. As a result, door is not fully sealed ( lack of privacy) 3. breakfast was bland

The ongoing renovation work in the morning can be disturbing for tired guests who wish to sleep in later than usual. Did not get to use the gym the night we arrived, so can't say much about it. The breakfast staff could engage with guests more to bring a homey feel to the meal experience, perhaps they weren't comfortable speaking English, but a friendly demeanour and effort to speak pasar English would still hv been acceptable. Sadly, the chef who fried the eggs did what he wanted and left the scene soon after he piled a number of runny sunny sides up into the covered pot. Thus guests could not specify how they preferred their eggs. Food on display were left to cool. Thank God the porridge was covered and acceptably warm, but the solitary fly buzzing around the open condiments was disconcerting. Hot food and attentive wait staff would hv been welcome to travellers.

Love the location and movie theme. Front desk and security staff were polite, helpful and courteous. One could tell that they were eager to meet the needs of guests and came across as professional and sincere in their efforts to attend to guests. They did what they could within their milieu of service and responsibility and were willing to accommodate simple requests with flourish. All the more reason to back here again.

Simple, no frills, comfortable hotel. Bonus lovely view of the sea. Nice enough breakfast. We stayed here for one night after arriving in Borneo, before heading off for a 3 day jungle stay, and it did the job well. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel storage while we were away which was super convenient.

The staff is prone to lying, or has no clue about things. Not very helpful. We were interested in a tours options and they said that the tour representative was on a lunch break. That was not true they didn't work at that day at all and we wasted 2 hours waiting on their return... We had to exchange our bedsheet as it was dirty. There were no hand towels. Breakfast was cold and at 8 am it was already empty.

Breakfast choice could be improved. Music and noise from the streets and shops downstairs can sometimes be heard. I was there during the Ramadhan month and there was an event held downstairs at the square that started in the evening all the way to night at around 10.30pm. The speech, music and singing could be heard from my room at the third floor.

Very clean. There is a small but well maintained gym with beautiful sea view with some basic equipments but sufficient for work out. The room was very clean. Good services rendered by staff from room service to reception to staff at the restaurant. Strategic location surrounded by eateries within walking distance and a mall next to it.
