Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThis is not related to the facility but the morning prayer/mosque was near and loud. It is just part of part life here. So no complains....
The rural feeling, chickens roaming about the yard, easy access to restaurants and street food and shops was great.

GermanyThe hotel is very simple but if you come to Taman Negara on a budget, you can't expect much more. Shared toilets were not so clean, and our bathroom also had some clogging issues. Bed is very uncomfy and the blanket more of a towel than an actual blanket. Roosters wake you up at 4:30, so expect to have a bit of a rough night.
The staff is absolutely adorable :) Location is also nice. We had a private room with a double bed, AC and private bathroom - including hot water.

Well located property, 5-10 minute walk to the Taman Negara jetty. Our room was basic, but it was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the tea and coffee facilities. Overall good value for money.

Malaysia1. The guest house was generally clean but still got a few points left with dust (Believed due to improper cleaning but still in acceptable condition). 2. No river view even though it is located next to the river. The main facade faces the entrance (garden view). Luckily the garden is acceptable conditioned. Note: This is budget traveler accommodation so please expect a ceiling fan (No, A/C) and will be provided with basic facilities only. Mostly suitable for backpackers.
1. Location. Walking distance to Kuala Tahan Jetty and access point to Taman Negara. Not far from the local eating place and small convenience store. 2. Quiet surroundings for those how looking for a peaceful place. 3. Welcome drink from the host (Honestly I didn't expect this). 4. Car parking area provided but very limited space. 5. Small shared pantry provided for guest users at the terrace. Coffee, Sugar & biscuits are also provided (Self-service). 6. Shared toilet/bath are in acceptable condition. 7. Blankets and towels are provided. 8. Guesthouse is generally clean. 9. Wifi is provided.

SpainCleanliness: The cleaning of the room could be improved. We had to use our sheets. Bed-Mattress: Comfortable mattress but too short for a person of 1,85m, like me. Noise-Insulation: Bad insulation. You can hear everything happening in the corridors and outside. Also is near to the mosque and the rooster will wake you up at 5am. Bring earplugs. Room size: Big room but some chair will be welcomed. Mosquitoes: In the photos there was a mosquito net but was NOT present in the room.
Location-Area: Safe area. Near to the boat. Restaurants: Several restaurants near to the river. Toilet: Standard toilet in Malaysia, mixed with shower. Big and spacious. Water-Coffee: They don't have water refill but coffee and tea for free.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like 😊
I loved everything about our stay! It was so pleasant and peaceful. Location was on point as everything close by yet not in the noisy area like the other places of stay. The host was a lovely and kind lady. I loved that we could hear the Muslim call to prayer from the local mosque. Room was lovely and the bed really comfortable. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here, definitely value for money.

CanadaWindows don't seal so bugs can crawl/fly in, no mosquito net, toilet and shower could be cleaned better, beds aren't super comfy. It's a good budget option for one night but you get what you pay for and I wouldn't recommend staying for much longer than that. I chose to use my airplane pillow instead of the one provided because it was quite lumpy and smelled a little funny. I woke up with ants crawling on me and several new bug bites that I didn't have the day before. Bug bites on my legs could've been from my jungle trekking before I arrived at the hotel, but I wore long pants in the jungle and shorts to sleep so take that as you will...
The owner was super sweet, it's in an ideal location close to shops/food/river to Taman Negara, owner was very kind and let me drop off my bag in a storage room at 9am so I didn't have to carry it with me till I checked in at 7pm, decent budget option for travelers.
