BelgiumAt first the shower didn’t work that well, there was a very weak water pressure. There were also ants in the room. Last but not least, the room for 5 was not at all a room for 5. All we received was 1 double bed and one single bed as you can see in the picture. Try fitting 5 grown men in there, it’s a real problem.

ItalyThe bedsheets were not really clean and didn't smell like they were washed recently. In addition to that we saw some little insects in other beds. Fortunately we were the only guests in the dormroom, so we could choose the beds that looked the best. Another thing you shoud know, is that the property is quite far away from the center. About 20 by foot.

NetherlandsNot the cleanest place. Floors, walls and ceilings were dusty. Bedding of the kids beds was really groce, seemed like fresh blood from previous guest and very dirty. Our daughter didn't want to sleep in it. It's pretty far from all the action, road has lots of fast cars and motorcycles. Best if you have your own car.
Friendly, helpful host. The lady came to ask if everything was fine at checkin. One evening we forgot to buy water / drinks and the hist arranged water for us. Seating area in front and quiet place.

SingaporeIt did not feel clean, there were a few dead baby cockroaches after the first night and the water kept leaking in the toilets. Distance to Kuala Tahan centre about 1 km, so having your own transport is better.
Had the whole place to ourselves, there were 2 toilets. 1 mainly for shower and toilet, the other just toilet. Enough mattresses for 4 people, but all have to squeeze in 1 bedroom. Unless you are fine without air conditioning, then some can sleep in the living room.

FranceHomestay is not safe ( door is not safe) , not clean . Hair dryer is not working, no bed sheet provide, the covers are dirty, no electricity supply and water supply at the first night . I couldn’t stay any more for 2 more days . I left home stay after 1st night and changed to other hotel . I request the owner to give me the refund for the 2 nights and he said to me contact Booking.com . Until right now. Still no reply …

DenmarkIt was very far from everything in the area. There was no reception or any other guests from what I could tell. There were big cracks between the door and doorframe. There was a padlock on the door with 1 single key in for a 10 person dorm. Not really sure how that would work if someone was to lock the door and leave with the key. Honestly I left as soon as possible.

United KingdomThe walls, bed and bedding were covered in black mold, mattress had signs of bed bugs, the toilet was broken, shower had zero water pressure, location was very remote relative to the small village, kitchen and bathroom area were very dirty. Do not be tempted to book here, no matter how cheap as even the basic offerings in the village are so much better, we switched accomm immediately rather than risk it. As a long time traveler in SE Asia used to low expectations, this surpassed them in a bad way
