Broken A/C

Arrived and the air conditioning was not working. Monica sent her handyman within 30 minutes. It was determined that the problem was more serious. She tired to get a service technician ASAP - however it was too late in the day. Late next morning it was determined that the condenser had failed. Monica even sent screenshots to show me what was happening with the A/C (several units were affected). She offered to me a chance to cancel the remainder of the stay - which was not what I wanted, it was in very good area - however it was not comfortable, so we cancelled the rest of my stay and monies have been returned. Told Monica that I needed some time to find other accommodations, she told me not to worry and take the time I needed. Excellent communication!

No iron/ ironing board. Floor was a little dirty. Room is comfortable but due to privacy, had to keep the blinds shut the whole time. The small space felt smaller and confined for this reason. The window/balcony goes to a common central area.

Location, staff, and building amenities were great. Appreciated the easy communication and early check in convenience. Also thankful for the drinking water.

abit dark, no bed lamp, not sound proof, also there is speaker outside playing low music at night but make u crazy and cannot sleep. room is fine but a bit basic and not as modern and new as in many photos.

The room is in the first floor so you cant actually leave the balcony open. Its also quite warm, sometimes the air conditioning wasnt enough.

The roof top pool could have used a bit more seating. All the studios face an interior courtyard so they are not extremely private but there is a motorized shade that can be closed to provide privacy.

Good value for the money. The building isn't more than a couple years old so all the everything in the room, furniture, cabinets, etc, were in very good condition. There is a small convenience store directly across the street from condo which is very handy. The gym is one of the better hotel gyms I have seen in Playa.

I wasn't aware of the lockbox code so took some time to recuperate the key. There needs to be yoga mats in the gym. Some of the front desk staff don't speak English which made it really hard to communicate. Cleaning isn't daily, they send the maid only once during the week although I'm sure they would have sent more often if needed. The AC had to be kept on throughout. Even at 16 degrees, the room would get warm the second I'd turn it off. The AC doesn't reach the bathroom which makes it hard to get ready as a woman, e.g. blow-dry hair.

Loved the rooftop pool and the balcony area on the first floor. The room had a good amount of storage and towels. Amazing location and the fact that they don't charge electricity is a plus since the room would get really hot and the ac needed to stay on the whole time. Location was amazing and everything was walkable.

The roof top and pool were really nice, spacious room with internal patio facing on to a jungle simulation garden, very tranquil and pleasant. The location is away from the hustle and bustle and quite exclusive, close to beach. i am aware i wasn't the ideal customer as i encountered a situation and didn't check out on time, i did not mean to cause any trouble and appreciate your handling of the situation, thank you.

As someone mentioned before the unit really needs some attention. -Bed was hard and uncomfortable -The sheets and duvet were yellowish with yellow, brown and black stains, same with the towels. (before the comp cleaning the duvet wasn’t in a cover - only sandwiched between two flat sheets.) -We didn’t have hot water for most of our 6 day stay - Monica did get a handyman out on the 4th day of our stay because of Christmas and shops being closed with a complimentary clean, but the temperature regulator was still faulty (either you had burning hot water with no way to get it cooler or slightly warmer cold water. We didn’t report it because it was almost the end of our stay and feels like a tenants responsibility) - No daily cleaning, I think its important because travellers don’t come with cleaning products or toiletpaper?? -Receptionists all gave us different check out times which made things stressful when we had to pack up in a hurry on the day. I didn’t feel it was value for money

-Good location, close to 5th Avenue. -Beautiful reception and garden area by your room. -Could log into our Netflix account -The rooftop pool and bar is nice and enjoyed using the gym. -Nice affordable and delicious breakfast restaurant across the road.

I did not find the bed comfortable and it would have been nice if pool towels were offered for rent. The TV did not work in the room and the lock box number was incorrect.

The location was good. Not too close to all the noise of the 5a Avendia, but close enough to walk there.

Booking should let people know that they do not have to book a hut in the favela. A place like the Shore offers superior accommodation for great value.

The Shore is a great Condo Hotel. Modern and great location..MONICA IS A SUPER STAR HOST!

When we arrived the pool was closed and the restaurant on the top because of maintenance for 2.5 weeks. we called with the host and she said she understand it and gave a discount of 30%. We have never received the discount and she is not picking up our calls or replying to our text messages. Very very bad.
