We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

MexicoBathroom was OK but the shower was in the tub, and while it might be good enough for a middle sized adult for me (6' 4) with a newborn baby in arms was a real struggle to bathe. That's the real "issue" but nothing too serious. I'd definitely book in this hotel again.
Location was great, friendly staff and price was very good. The room was also nice with really comfortable beds, clean and tidy.

United StatesOn one of our two recent visits this month, we found that the coffee pot had not been cleaned from the previous customer, and the old coffee and filter in the pot had become moldy and unusable. It's only happened the one time, but since we had to rise very early to catch a plane, a good cup of coffee would have been welcome. Also, as I've gotten older (I'm now 75), my vision has faded. The lighting in the room has become completely inadequate due to the lack of lamps and overhead lights.. I don't think I can stay there again unless that problem is resolved. The hotel has become old-fashioned over the years. The bathroom space, althought clean, is now uncomfortably cramped.
My wife and I have been patronizing Posada de Tampico since the 1990's and it's been highly satisfactory in the past. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, and responsive to our needs. The Chairel restaurant is superb. We always eat there because the food and service are both excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The Maitre D', Juan Carlos, is charming (at least, if you speak Spanish). I don't, but my wife does.

United StatesThe receptionist did not explain well where to park or that there was an adjacent hotel that we could go through but could not get into our hotel. The bell boy from the other hotel was kind enough to walk us through where we needed to go and open doors for us. Also the key did not work the first time I tried to get into the room. Had to figure out where the front desk was from my room. There were no signs to tell me how to turn the light on in the room. I wasn't told if Breakfast was complimentary or not.

Spain- The food was not good and expensive - they charge the tip automatically 15% and the service not necessarily deserves it - the rooms were not clean & ready when we arrived - the floor in the rooms were damaged - the pool was not very clean and with lots of people - very noisy and chaotic at common areas - the start rating it’s not true

United StatesThis is a 47 year old property and it shows. The rooms have no refrigerators and the furnishing is very outdated and poor TV signal. Room A/C was not working very well and got warm in the room.
The staff were all highly professional and respectful and very helpful and made my stay excellent. Location from Airport was a deciding factor. Parking is easy and free shuttle was fantastic. Good value for the price.
