If you are not using a dorm, but a private room as solo traveler it could be quite pricey for you. Rates for the rooms differ every single day and depend on how many people are staying in the hostel, so some nights will cost und up to €59 /night per room even with a single occupancy which is way more expensive than a n proper hotel in Merida with higher standard. Other nights it’s more affordable or or for a longer stays the prices can be negotiable. It’s forbidden to hang wet towels or other wet clothes on the handrail or somewhere else in the complex (only around the pool). Even if I brought my line (for hanging on my wet rash guard, bikini, Neopren boots and hood), there was no space outside to put it, so the only way to dry effectively the staff is to put it in the room and put the aircon high. Not a big deal.

I spend in total 11 nights at the hostel as solo female traveler. All in all I was happy with my stay there. Very helpful staff, nice swimming pool area, good vibes, good for getting to know other travelers if you wish. There are daily activities organized by the hostel (I haven’t tried them, cos I organized activities by myself, but I guess it’s a good option to have) . It’s an adult hostel, so there is loud music and „party“ around the pool until 23h, after that it’s quiet enough to sleep. I had a be private room and it was clean, AC was working properly, hot water from the shower, clean towels. The be location is great, very central!

Everything is at a walking distance in the Centro area. The staff is super nice and create a great atmosphere. Premises are kept clean. Loved it.

I felt so comfy in this place starting with the price, then the location is magnificent. It has the appearance of an old and small building, the you go inside and have terrace with a good atmosphere and hanging hamacas over the swimming pool, just amazing to chilling out. The bedroom was for four persons and the full bathroom was inside (besides others outside). The dark curtains around the bed give the feeling of privacy. Sump up: totally worthy.

Sometimes the water in the shower was lukewarm - however reception and maintenance did always fix it.

The location is excellent - within walking distance to the main parts of town as well as a good proximity to the ADO bus station. The room was comfortable and the staff (Katy and Emmanuel) were lovely when I became unwell and needed to stay an extra few days to recover. Nice touch of welcome drink and screen protectors to keep insects out of the room too.

Not much social space for when it rains! Also watch out because some of the affiliated tour companies seemed pretty expensive and I feel the hostel could have recommended cheaper alternatives to seeing local sites !

The hostel was so nice and much bigger than one would expect from the outside! Great place to stay for a few days in Merida with everyday events and social atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

The only thing that could improve was that we didn't have hot water for the first part of our stay, so it was luke warm -- however, due to the heat, it wasn't bad.

My wife and I enjoyed the private room and air conditioning. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was receptive to our needs, and we had a pleasant time!

We loooved our stay at the Che in Mérida, especially thanks to Sarah and Andrea. They are the heart and soul of the hostel (and Sarah makes the best Tequila Sunrise). We also really enjoyed the Cenote tour with Gibrán who is a really funny and entertaining guy. Thanks so much, guys. Would have loved to stay longer.

The staff was super nice! Special thanks to Felipe and Caty at the reception. My bed was comfy in the dorm (I stayed for 12 days!). Well located in the center. I would go back if I ever come to Merida again.

Very nice spacious room. The pool and chill area is a lot of fun, there were some fun activiteit/tours organised by the hostel which we enjoyed a lot. Location is great to enjoy the centre of Merida.

Except this bit. The AC was set towards the bed. It sounds sth simple but we just could not sleep good because of it. When you turn ac on it is too cold and uncomfortable. When it is off it is insanely hot and there are no windows to open up. Only this detail kind of makes it feel worse.

Very large dormes which are somehow connected via the bathroom which made it quite noisy.
