The hotel was off a noisy highway that you could hear most of the night. The staff had a burn pit that the smoke came into the room in the morning. There are screens and blinds but no windows.

We loved that the hotel was right on the lake and provided paddle boards & kayaks. The bed was very comfortable anf the shower was hot. The staff were friendly.

The breakfast and all of the food was exceptional. The staff very friendly, the prices were very reasonable , our room was spacious, but sparse and a lot of road noise. We had earplugs, which helped and the bed was comfortable. The pressure of the shower was minimal, a huge shower, but not good pressure. Hot water was on and off, so the shower needs improvement. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it, it’s very quiet and peaceful. We spent a day on the dock and used kayaks and paddle boards and spent an afternoon at the pool the next day. Pool is very cared for and clean, its lovely.

the noise!! the rooms have no glass (there are wooden blinds only) and therefore all the noise from the highway comes day and night in your room. We needed ear pluges to reduce the noise to an acceptable level for sleeping. It can be fixed with glass in the windows! The room misses reasonable lights and chairs for comfortable sitting

Nice property and good service! We had a perfect stay thanks to Emma and her team. Private jetty and free kayak available to explore the lagoon. The restaurant is also very tasty ! The spot is magical to watch both sunrise and sunset

The room was shall we say ‘minimalist’ and there were no seats or hammock on the rooftop terrace so we couldn’t use this.

The staff were super friendly and were quick to respond to the WhatsApp concierge service when we needed a taxi in the evening to Bacalar which was a short ride away. The lakeside location was superb, a couple of sun beds on the deck would have made it perfect and we loved the free kayaks!

just some recommendations to improve : breakfast is too small and no choice no natural yogurt and a few toast with margarine and marmelade clean sheets means spotless however no stains at all that is it hoe it is supposed to be water should be given in closed sealed bottles with a date otherwise not safe for gringos so even eco doesn’t matter ( for health inspection is it not correct)

the breakfast was very basic, and they didn’t even have all the limited items that were supposed to be included in the menu every day. some days they didn’t have fresh juice or yogurt.

The room could have had a fridge. and whilst it didn’t bother us, you are about a 7 minute drive from the main town so keep that in mind if you don’t have a car or want to have some drinks.

The staff here are such kind and lovely people - thank you for treating us so wonderfully. the rooms are very spacious and a cool design. the terrace with the hammock was great. breakfast was light but perfect for us and nice and fresh. the grounds are very well kept and it was great to use the kayaks and stand up paddle board. the hotel is also very peaceful and relaxing

We had a room next to a sewage outlet and from time to time a bad smell could be detected sitting on the terrasse.

Super nice hotel at Lake Bacalar. They have SUPs and kayak that can be used for free. Very good tips from thw staff where to go in Bacalar. And having their whatsapp concierge is super handy to get questions answered quickly

My only complaint about the hotel is it's location relatively near the highway which at times let's you hear the traffic. Kinda ruins the whole isolated, middle-of-nature feel of the place
