Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
Love the location of the hotel and the staff were incredible. Our second room was beautiful and relaxing, the food was so tasty expecially the fish tacos. The service was incredible, nothing was to much for the staff and they did everything to make our stay a very memorable one. We were transferred to the sister hotel mezzanine which was amazing for service, private beach in the mornings and the night.

DenmarkThe walls are thin and the windows are only single glased, so if you are a light sleeper ( as I am ...) then bring ear plugs.
Great location in a national park, where there are only a few other hotels. First i was a bit in doubt if it was too far from the hotel zone and Tulum centre, but tbh, Tulum centre is not worth visting and the hotel zone is for party people. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful place with a not so crowded beach nearby, then this is the perfect hotel. The staff is friendly (especially Alberto & Rick ;) ) the pool and cabanas are beautiful and the food is delicious, especially the breakfast, juices and drinks. It is walking distance to the Tulum ruins, which is a plus :) we loved our stay and I would highly recommend staying here.

United StatesI did not like the room where I stayed it was so extremely noisy. I hardly slept the entire stay. Room 20 was so loud. All night I could hear noise That was so difficult. I told the front desk they said they would get back to me but never did.
I absolutely loved the hotel. Every corner was appealing to the eye. The hotel ambiance was calm just perfect for adults that aren’t there to scream and party. It is a very sophisticated hotel. The food was pricey (American prices) but delicious. The ceviche was so fresh! The avocado toast was great, the kale Cesar salad was an experience! The staff - every single member was amazing. Very kind and helpful ! The waiters were so attentive with food allergies, the front desk explained every detail! The housekeepers were so kind! The pool workers would say good morning every day! One of the prettiest hotels I have ever visited! The ruins are walking distance! The ruins were so cool! They have local shops there and local food. It was nice to visit. Felt more like real Mexico than other areas. The sister hotel is nice - mezzanine- it has good Thai food and wonderful staff. The access to the beach was just a 7 min walk.

AustraliaThe ONLY thing we would comment on here is if you have a car or are getting around in a car, you can sometimes be caught up in traffic to get into the national park as the security have to check that you’ve paid / have wristbands to enter the area. At times, this would be a quick process but at other times it would be a long wait. In saying that, we wouldn’t swap the location for anywhere else in Tulum
This property was AMAZING! Beautiful and super helpful / friendly staff. Facilities were great. Rooms were beautiful. Food was excellent. Cleaned the room twice a day and the location was perfect. Much quieter area but still access to the beautiful beaches through sister properties

Mi Amor hotel is a perfect get away for a couple. I went with my wife for 4 nights and everything was great. I would say the staff made the stay special , they made sure we were happy and comfortable . They also hooked us up with their sister locations at the Mezaninne restaurant down the road and the Zebra beach club. Really nice get away for couples. The location is ideal for relaxing and a short walk from some other nice beach clubs and restaurants.

IsraelThe price is too much high, the location of the hotel is in the park area which makes it harder to enter the hotel. Also we could not flush toilet paper which was quiet uncomfortable.

United StatesNavigating through the park was a bit challenging due to ongoing road construction.

United StatesWhile the rocks were cool, I missed not having a beach out front. You can get to the sand, but it's a short walk down the road. The pool was hard to get in and out of without feeling like I was disturbing others. I did not like the expensive taxis and how hard it was to get back to the hotel whenever we left. This was the biggest negative. But that's what kind of makes it secluded I guess.
Loved the private and secluded feel of this hotel. Very cool vibe. Felt like Hawaii at times. Staff was nice and food was wonderful. The bungalows on the rocks overlooking the water were the highlight of this hotel. Very unique and I don’t think any other hotels have anything like this. Felt like we had the hotel all to ourselves even though I believe it was sold out.

United StatesThe food was great, I just wished they had more Mexican food options on their menu.
Unfortunately, we had to leave on emergency because of health issues while pregnant. In the midst of the pain the hotel called a doctor to give us advice. The doctor arrived within an hour and helped us through the pain. I vomited a couple of times in our room due to the pain I was experiencing. The hotel cleaners cleaned it right away, where incredibly kind, and discrete. Our baby is ok but we had to leave prematurely to get medical help in our country. The service was amazing.

United StatesThey don't have a shuttle to the airport however they have a private company that they utilize to transport you to and from round trip mine was originally $280 American dollars. I must stress if you're going to use a private transport service in Mexico make sure you get that in writing before arrival. Make suggestions if you can for your driver to atleast speak enough English to announce to you what's going on along your drive. Also don't let them try and change the price on you while you're sitting in the vehicle on drop off. Whatever your original price was stated to you through email is exactly the price you will pay.
First let me start by thanking Denise for a job well done as the manager! I would also like to thank the extraordinary staff from waiters, waitresses and house cleaning crew for the extraordinary accommodating job they do every day. I am always intrigued when I travel places I've never traveled as a SOLO TRAVELER! I would like to say that although this hotel is recognized for their couples retreat I've seen entire family members during my stay!!! CORRECTION the restaurant is open to the public family and children over the age of 12 years and older. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and the beautiful ambiance of my room. I definitely recommend Mi Amor to provide you with a pleasant experience with lots of humidity.

United KingdomThe room was noisy. We were right by reception so we heard everyone coming in, talking, suitcases rolling over the decking outside the room. There was also a little construction outside as they were building a proper road. This is no fault of the hotel and tbh only disturbed us for two days. Hopefully make accessing the property easier because it was tricky to find on a one way system.
The hotel was lovely, staff were particularly nice. The breakfast was fantastic as were the cocktails. We had a spa treatment which was lovely. Location was a bit out of the way… about 20 mins In taxi to get to the area with lots of bars etc. This hotel was beautiful, perfect for couples. Sun loungers on the rocks overlooking the beach, local wildlife. All gorgeous.
