You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

CanadaThe WiFi was pretty poor. I couldn't make a VOIP call and it would drop. As a nomad, this was kind of important. They also, not sure why, didn't provide soap. I thought it was a mistake, but on the second night (post cleaning), still no soap. A headscratcher?
Quite comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and the grounds in general were lovely. I think I got a good deal on the price as it was a last minute booking so overall, happy with the value (except WiFi issues).

The hotel is located ca. 15 mins walk from the bus station and 4-5 blocks from the center. It features a very nice colinial architecture with a large inner garden/patio. It is very reasonably priced.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant was very substandard but most hotel restaurants are not very good so that's to be expected. But it doesn't matter cuz there's many places to eat in the area.
The staff was very nice and helpful they even took care of our laundry for us. Our mattress was very uncomfortable but once we told them they quickly swapped out the mattress for a comfortable one. Great value

NetherlandsThe mirrors in the room are really low, for a person 1.6m or shorter. The breakfast. Dry hotcakes. The coffee was very weak.
Comfortable mattress. Super hot water. Friendly staff. Wifi was fine but probably depends which room you get. It was very accessible from the highway but still easy to walk into the centre. There didn't seem to be a carpark but we did not ask because when we arrived there was a free spot directly in front of the hotel. Overall, given the prices in the tourist areas of Chiapas, this hotel has an excellent price-quality ratio.

GermanyBefore the particular incident, we would have criticized the following: - very poor WLAN - few sockets in a bad location - no storage space in the bathroom - no good seating in the room (only on beds) Then we experienced something shocking: We had left our room for maximum 1 hour and came back to the hotel again, there was a staff member standing in our room and filming the room with all our stuff (really everything! Bathroom, the closet from the inside, ...). He explained it as house rules and that they would always do it this way, because if things disappeared from our room, you could tell from it what was there. We were very disappointed with this incident as no one informed us of these supposed house rules at check-in and there is no safe in the room. As compensation, we received a complimentary breakfast.
Especially beautiful is the garden, which is located in the courtyard and can be seen in the photos. On foot you can easily reach the center of the village.

JerseyThe place has a boiler on the roof which sends a loud mechanical and vibrating noise through the whole place. It's located right above room 203 which they don't use for guests. Below that is room 103 which they do - and gave it to me! The noise was loud and constant in the room until midnight and then started again at 6.55am. I complained the first evening but the guy on reception didn't care and was a bit rude. I complained again early next morning and this time a lady was on duty who quickly took action and found me a new room. You could still hear the noise but much fainter. Why on earth they don't fix the problem is beyond me. Also, this is a hotel in the OYO Hotel Group and they invite you to use there online customer service but it is a complete waste of time in my experience. Also they don't provide hand soap or one of those floor towels for outside the shower. They need to sort themselves out. Seem pretty clueless. Lucky for them they have one decent member of staff.
