Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MexicoThe attitude from the bellboy (disrespectful to my wife, it´s ok to look, but to stare ? ) and I had to complain with the Manager. The bartender´s service by the pool was very poor (cocktails were lack of flavor and full of ice). No ice available in the machine´s floor during 4 consecutive days. Dissapointing view from the balcony, all the pipes full of rust and fecal from birds. Couldn´t put a step on it. (5th floor)

United StatesVery clean and attentive staff, except that one bar tender. We booked 2 months before and we booked two bedrooms one with two people, and the other with three. I later noticed they were both with two. I called Emporio to change the number and they told me to call booking. I called booking and they told me they were going to have Emporio change one of the rooms to three people staying. When we got there that change had not been made. I had to show my emails stating that I had called booking to make the change. When we left, they tried to charge me another 500 pesos, which kind of upset me not because of the money but because I knew that I owed them and nothing else I signed the paper saying that I was not agreement with the added charge and didn’t have to pay. Once I get back to the states, I will be calling back to make sure that everything was cleared up.
The location was perfect. The restaurant located in the hotel was great. One particular young man at the bar seemed like he was annoyed that we were ordering beverages from him. We tried to avoid him and ordered from other staff members. The pools were awesome, but definitely needed more umbrellas at the middle pool. The covered one needed some fans to circulate the air. We went when it was 90 degrees and 68% humidity…..

United KingdomShame the top deck was closed but it was being refurbished so we understand.
From the very moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly, even though at time our lack of Spanish caused confusion. They even let us check in early. The room was perfect, the views from outside our balcony of the port was immaculate, the size of the room was amazing we had more than enough space. The location of the hotel on the port and next to the town square was excellent, we always felt safe when looking around the local area. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and staff again was very friendly. Pool area was never busy and very chilled. Cannot fault our stay, it exceeded our expectations and would happily stay there again.
