My room is by the road so a fair bit of noise however I think I have the cheapest room so it makes sense.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the courtyard is charming and the little restaurant is great. My room was huge and the daily cleaning service adds to the great value. Great location to walk into the tourist area and so many cool places close by however just out of the tourist area.

Be aware that rooms right on the street can be very noisy. If you request a move, make sure that your new room has air conditioning: Our new room didn't. It had a ceiling fan and the reception brought a floor fan to our room and it was never really what I would call "uncomfortable", but AC would have been nice. When we were in a room facing the street we had AC but again, at least during the day/afternoon, the noise from the street was significant.

The staff provided wonderful service and were extremely friendly and accommodating. My wife and I love to walk, so although it was about a 15 minute walk to the main plaza, it was flat and enjoyable. For real bargains the "Central de Abastos", just a short walk in the other direction is the place to go for souvenirs, etc. Quaint restaurants all around and when we decided to take a cab we never paid more than $7 US to get anywhere. Right down the hill from the Auditorio Guelaguetza. You are also just a short walk to the Central Camionera (Main Bus Station) where you can get a bus to Mitla (and then on to Hierve El Agua on the "collectivo" for additional cost) for about $1.50 US per person. The breakfast was excellent and the man who waited on us every day was very pleasant and provided great service. Same with the front desk staff and cleaning staff.

We liked everything.

The hotel is even more beautiful than the photos! The photos do not do it justice. It is very clean and very pretty. The room we stayed in was spacious. We had a bad experience at an AirBnb the night before checking in to the hotel and the staff at the hotel were so incredibly kind to us and allowed us to check in early at no extra cost. The staff were extremely helpful answering our questions about Oaxaca. The hotel has a charming garden courtyard. The breakfast at the hotel is tasty and the breakfast room is cute. The location is excellent. Family and child friendly.

Although you don't hear much noise from the street, you can hear other guests leaving super early for tours (as if the walls were very thin). I know that's not something the staff can control so I'm not blaming them. A good stay overall.

Good location; 15 mins walks to main attractions. Super friendly staff and clean/spacious rooms. Hot water in the shower. There's a tiny restaurant within the hotel.
