Our room with two separate beds was not too spacious. I saw another room with a double bed and it seemed much better. Plan ahead and book your accommodation well in advance.

We loved our stay at Comala, especially for its very friendly and helpful staff. The place was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is amazing! When thirsty for an additional cup of coffee, there are lots of great cafés nearby - the location is excellent.

I didn’t love that there wasn’t much privacy (if the blinds were open you could see directly into the room from multiple viewpoints). I just kept the blinds down most of the time I was there. There was also no hot water in the shower but it was hot in Oaxaca so it felt good to shower in the cool water. Just not ideal if you need to wash hair, shave, etc. or if it’s a colder month.

The property was very cute! I really enjoyed the vibe and all the plants. Also, the stuff is incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. I always felt safe and comfortable. Andres was absolutely incredible throughout my whole stay. As a solo woman traveler, I felt really good staying here and would love to return one day! There are several bars and places to eat within walking distance and it’s not far from the main square. Also plenty of cute coffee shops within walking distance. The neighborhood feels very safe as well. It is loud at times but I think that’s probably the case around the city.

This is an easy question - EVERYTHING!!!! I loved the extra touches provided. My husband and I arrived very early in the morning in Oaxaca and Carlos met us at the front door to escort us to our room.

Everyone was so kind and welcoming, ready to help us when we needed. The room was very clean, and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious.

The only problem we had was our shower. The first night the shower head was leaking and spraying water everywhere. We told the staff and they fixed it within a few hours the next day. Both nights the hot water was a little spotty.

The location was incredible and the terrace has such a beautiful view! The staff is super nice and happy to help with whatever you need.

I loved this place! Comfortable, quiet, the staff were incredible, perfect location! I was so sad I only had one night before moving to a house with friends. Can't wait to go back!

For the value, I can’t complain about anything. The wifi was good/fast too. The shower had hot water. We also had great air conditioning. Rooms were clean and queen bed was comfy.

Breakfast was good, it was included in our room price. The location was great, it was about a 10 minute walk to el Zocalo. The terrace in the third floor has great views! Andres & Cesar were great hosts, helpful, friendly, & went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

It takes some time to get hot water in the shower, AC is a bit noisy through the night. Besides that everything good

The room was very comfy, plenty of space, there was always fresh water and new towels every day. Room also has safe and good fridge. The staff is amazing, their english is very good, they helped us with laundry (they took it to laundry service and back) when we were on full day trip. Place is close to center so easy to access all the restaurants, shops, main cathedral.

The walls are quite thin as previous guests have commented but overall the location , great breakfast , friendliness of staff and roof garden make it a great place to stay.

Staff were really nice. There was always someone around if you needed anything. Water was replenished every day and there was also water fountains out in the corridors. Beds were comfortable. Roof terrace was nice, not open all night but it was a more quiet season when we were there.

Great, affordable hotel perfectly located close to the Oaxaca center. Very nice staff and tasty breakfast. If you can, splurge on the more expensive room; mine were perfectly fine but I extended my stay in a bigger room and that’s when the hotel truly shined.

Size of the room for 2 single beds My friend is a tall man and his feet hanged out,!

The room was small and felt less pleasant. Very small bathroom as well, with limited products, no hair dryer. The A/C showed 16,° but was cooling the room only a little bit. As we were most of the time outside we didn't report the fault to the owner. Before leaving I told him and I know he would have given us another room. So, I can't really blame them. They should check everything before renting I suppose The owner is a very nice and friendly person, he tries to give us lots of info and when we had to leave before breakfast time he othanised coffee and fruits. Much appreciated The staff is also kind, I had an omelette with flowers from Calebasse, its very tasty. For a single person the room would be fine. Location is important and that's fantastic only 5 min walk to everything needed, restaurant are in the same street. This was my priority. Water was provided, it was 35 ° end of April
