I just had the best stay at Casa Tavera Hotel! Seriously, this boutique hotel is a gem. The staff felt like friends, and the communication was exceptional. They went out of their way to make my stay amazing, and the concierge helped me coordinate tours and find all the best spots to visit. It’s in a super safe location, right in the middle of all the fun, so I felt comfortable everywhere I went. Plus, the breakfast included each morning was delicious—such a great way to start the day! The hotel has a quaint vibe but is just a short walk around the corner to all the excitement Mérida has to offer. If you’re looking for a charming place to stay, I can’t recommend Casa Tavera enough!

The description on booking.com was misleading (the room didn’t have a view of the pool) but that was a minor inconvenience.

The beds could have been plusher. I also had to switch rooms due to a leaky air conditioner. The young lady who lead me to my new room offered no assistance and I had to lug my suitcase up the stairs (no elevator) and I ended up pulling a muscle then sleeping on a bed that was lumpy.

The staff was very friendly and breakfast was amazing! The pool was such a vibe and the entire property was clean AND VERY chill. The area is central to many great restaurants, cafes, and shopping. I also loved that they had partnerships with tourism excursions that were reasonably priced.

My room was a little small, but it was very clean and comfy. The king room was very comfortable and spacious.

Super friendly, really good location in lovely Merida. Staff were so kind - helped us arrange transportation to Celestun, got an early breakfast ready. Nice pool and terrace and great pancakes for breakfast.

The only negative side was that our room did not have any window to the outside (only to the inner court where breakfast was served) I guess anyway that this was due to the specific shape of the hotel.

Position is amazing and perfectly located downtown. Parking of the structure is behind the corner, same as the main street of Merida with all shops and restaurant. Breakfast was nice and good and the staff tried to satisfy all our requests.

This property was amazing. I stayed in both the standard and deluxe rooms and they were both incredibly comfortable. Although the pool is small, it is very refreshing and as it is an adults only property, the ambience was relaxed and quiet. The staff was courteous and helpful and made me feel welcome. The hotel is located on a quiet unassuming street that is walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, a park, and the famous Paseo Montejo. While the city center was also technically walking distance, I took Ubers because of the heat. When it comes to the amenities, this hotel has the best toiletries I have ever come across. The shampoos and body washes are from an organic brand that is local. I loved them so much that I asked them where they buy them from and I went to the shop “Yucatán Senses” and bought shampoos to take home. I also bought some really nice dresses from the front desk at a hotel as they support local businesses and artisans from the region. Will definitely stay here again!

During our stay, we noticed ongoing street repairs in the surrounding areas. By the end of our visit, significant progress had been made. It's clear that these efforts are aimed at enhancing the city center, which is entirely understandable and appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay for its comfort, prime location, and inviting ambiance. The cozy, warmly decorated interiors and furnishings added to the charm. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. The breakfast was not only delicious but also elegantly presented. Additionally, their assistance in planning activities in Merida was invaluable, as they recommended wonderful places to visit, tours, and local restaurants and bars.

Limited place to place bags off floor and no dresser to put clothes in. No desk in room.

Central location, close to many good restaurants and site seeing locales. We were treated to a wonderful breakfast each morning. The fruit was exceptional. They also served some really tasty cookies too (which you can order more to take home with you). The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. Room was comfortable and bathroom was nicely appointed. Pool area was very private and quiet.

The rooms are small and it's hit and miss if you have a hot shower. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking.

The hotel is stunning and very close to restaurants and the center. Not noisy at all and the staff will go above and beyond to help you

We liked everything about the hotel and the service. The only tricky thing is to find a good parking spot around the area.

The service overall and the manager - Veronica - was fantastic. The location is top; it is quiet but you can be in the busy areas with plenty of dining options around. The atmosphere is also very nice. It is a great place to relax and discover the city. A bonus point was the store of the hotel with great items.

- room could be more decorated to make it more cozy - walls are thin - pool area is very simple - small breakfast selection (fine for us though), coffee could be better

- Nice location - great look & feel - Nice and simple breakfast. You have to let them know the day before, what and at what time you want to eat breakfast. You can choose between a western or local style. - friendly staff - pool area is fine, nothing fancy Our room was big and comfortable, yet, there could be more decor on the wall to give it more coziness. The walls are thin and if you are a light sleeper, you here if somebody is talking outside. But they have complementary ear plugs in the room ;)

Staff should be a bit better trained for hospitality, i didn’t always feel welcome. Cleaning should be better, i booked the presidential suite but the jakuzi was not cleaned properly, there were stains and also a small water lake at the bottom when we arrived i wiped it myself to use it

The construction next door could not be helped but the staff handled perfectly, rest assured everything else made up for the slight annoyance.
