A little farther out of the centre than we would have liked, but getting taxis was easy and relatively inexpensive (about $100).

Sheny was a wonderful host (nothing was too much trouble!). The room was nicely furnished, spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. If you're looking for great things to do, check out the Mezcal & Mole Tasting experience (mezcalymoles.com) which is just a short walk from Casa Mayo.

It's a little far from the city center, which we knew when we booked

Very nice and clean home in a quiet neighborhood. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and they changed times to accommodate our travel schedule. There was a gated area to park. Our dog was well treated.

Cozy room and homey vibe. yummy breakfast and friendly staff. pretty garden. daily room cleaning and coffee/water/juice avail at no additional cost. My go-to accommodation when in Oaxaca. Last time was in April and I love how with breakfast, the host remembered I don’t like papaya. talk about attention to detail! ✨ Also Omero is the cutest, friendliest dog!

Not a problem at all, but it would have been nice to have the bathroom in our room. It was a private bathroom just for us right next door to our room on the ground floor.

The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The location was great - quiet, and easy to reach Oaxaca City by bus. The bus stop was only a few blocks away. Sheny sent someone to pick us up from the airport and he took us on a mini-tour of the city on our way to Casa Mayo.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mayo and had the option to upgrade to their biggest room, which was beautiful and incredibly spacious with a private bathroom! The bed was so comfortable and while the shower pressure was on the low side, there was good hot water. It was also great to stay in a quieter neighbourhood, that is not too far from central (10 min by taxi) Sheny was friendly and very helpful with our questions, organising taxis and suggesting things to do - even left us hats for a day trip :) We will miss Casa Mayo a lot!

Some distance from the city center, but only a 10m taxi ride so wasn't much of a problem at all.

This is a beautiful property in San Felipe del Agua. The hostess, Sheny, was so friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden and the room was spacious and spotless with everything one could possibly want. Breakfast was delicious and I will definitely return. I highly recommend this B & B!

Sheny made us feel at home immediately in Oaxaca City, she's very friendly, helpful, and puts a lot of care into the B&B. The accommodation is immaculate, the breakfasts are big and delicious, and the beds comfortable. The house is about 10 minutes out of the city center by car and a great option for anyone looking for a peaceful neighbourhood. Definitely recommend.

The owner of the house went above and beyond to help us, including booking taxis, helping prepare food for the baby or organising laundry. The room was cleaned 2 a day and breakfast was lovely! 10 mins drive to the best locations in Oaxaca city! Highly recommended!

Property is a quick ride away from Centro and as a solo traveler, feels safe and gated. Cute garden in the back and cozy common spaces. Included breakfast = delicious and service was very attentive.

We loved the location, house, owner/hostess, and ambiance. Exceptionally clean, excellent service and food with personalized diet choices. We encountered some issues with our rental car, and our hostess went out of her way to assist us. We arrived meeting an owner and left with a new friend. Excellent!
