The location was tricky for us as we arrived late ish and needed to get dinner but we didn’t have transport. They were super helpful at suggesting Uber eats and we were sorted. A little isolated without transport.

We loved the fact they were so friendly and attentive. The little pool was great and we also loved the cat, Cherry.

The neighborhood outside of this B&B is in the end of an residency area. If you do not have a rental car, it will be hard for in-and-out.

We stayed just one night so can't say we had any complaints.

Our hosts were amazing. Very hospitable and helpful. The pickup from the ADO bus terminal was really appreciated as well as dropping us off the next day so we could see more of the town and beachfront. The breakfast was just right and was a great start to our day.

We had a real struggle getting hot water and water pressure in the shower. Every time we used it it was a small trickle of lukewarm water, inadequate for wife to wash her hair. The pool was clean and you could cool off, but too small and shallow to swim or play in. The rooms face in to a small, shaded courtyard, so nothing to see. Google maps gave us good directions, but the sign outside is small and guests might be confused as to which building in this residential neighborhood it is. The toast at breakfast both mornings was inedible, maybe stale bread.

Very convenient access to Xcaret and the other parks. Nice big bed. Mostly good, tasty breakfast. Adequate free parking right outside. High level of security. Friendly, helpful hosts gave excellent restaurant recommendations and driving directions for our trip to Merida upon departure.

Shower takes a while to get warm, and the pressure is quite low. Then again, this is most likely as it's a rainshower, which I guess most people like.

Convenient stop coming from the ferry at Playa Del Carmen, only 15min drive. The hostess was incredibly friendly and conversed fluently in English. Cute pool and very clean rooms. Enormous bed and good pillows. Hotel cat was very vocal and cuddly as well! Breakfast was great, would recommend the Mexican cheesy option over the pancakes though.

Coffee and marmalade for breakfast could be better. Blackout curtains would be great.

Hosts Itzel and Serafín are just the finest people. They made us feel comfortable from the beginning until the end. If you like to stay in a quiet place and away from all the tourist spots, this is the place. Small, cozy and comfortable. Totally recommend it!

For me it was hard to find on gps got lost, they did send me instructions on how to get there but I never opened that message. However I called them and they stayed on the phone with me while giving me instructions on how to get there.

Everything breakfast was wonderful good portion, room was very spacious had kitchenette and decent sized pool for the kids. Close to 5ta Avenida(downtown area) 10 minutes or so if you’re driving a car far enough from all the night life(noise).

It is indeed a hidden gem . Very clean and wonderful. The staff was helpful and genuine people. Loved the shuttle service twice a day The room was always cleaned so well , every time we returned.

Pool was a bit small and breakfast was not abundant. We didn't particularly like Playa de Carmen, but that's not the property's fault.

Extremely friendly hosts. Nice, cosy and clean place. It totally suited our needs. Breakfast was made with love and always fresh. The property's location was good and quiet, but it's necessary to have a car.

The walk to 5th Avenue, which is the main street for Playa De Carmen was a bit far to walk, but very close for a taxi or if you have a car.

The property was clean and nice. It was a quiet neighborhood. Room was a nice size and the bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. It was very clean. Owners/Managers were very nice.

Absolutely nothing!

Perfect first accommodation in Mexico! Swimming pool was great, we loved the breakfasts, the hosts were perfect and their service first class. We were delighted to hear they can offer special discounts on attractions. Thanks to them we visited Rio Secreto and Cozumel. They even helped us to get to the next accommodation. We felt really well looked after and it was simply perfect welcoming to Mexico and experience of Mexican generosity and kindness. Nice to have tv with Netflix! We could use bikes, there was shopping mall nearby. The house was in very quiet and safe location and you could ask about anything and could trust 100%. We loved our stay in Casa Gem and wishing Itsel and Serafin all the best!
