Some rooms have too much humidity but that's also to be expected as Guanajuato is an old town.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and generous. They were able to address all of our questions and concerns. The breakfast was more than we needed. Overall, it was very good! It was 20 minutes or so away from the other side of the centre and all the historical sites.

This is a clean and comfortable place, quiet and relaxing, I'd recommend. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooftop is a lovely space to sit and chill on.

I love the building construction and different lounge areas. I love the hospitality and breakfast provided on the werkend. We had not hot water in the shower but to me it was no biggie. My friend was fuzzy about it, though.

There was some sewer smell in one of the rooms & next to our room there was some construction work noise.

The hostel is a little bit far from the centre and it's not a very social place, or at least wasn't when we were there in April. But also not the most quiet I've been in. We were there on a weekend when there was a religious celebration, meaning they would do shoot cannon fire kind of fireworks at 6am and we woke up in terror both mornings. Was wondering how triggering this must be for tourists who have lived in war zones (for example Ukrainians). This ofc is not the hostel's fault, but since Mexico, including the state of Guanajuato, has had so many fireworks accidents, it seems nearly sadistic to me. There was also some extremely strange funk/latino/bagpipe mixed music blasting in the hills, echoing throughout the town, until 1am on our first night. So we didn't sleep well at all since the bombs went off 5 hours later.

The beds were sooo comfy!!! Also the room was clean and nice.

the shower spray was weak and spread out, also my hot water tap was on the right (i didnt know the first few nights and was using only the left one to get it “to warm up”). the breakfast was a bit poor.. well it was a nice gesture for us to prepare our own egg (w ham slices) or corn flake cereal (with milk).

it was sooo spacious and clean. i liked the unique layout of the hostal, the further back you went there were more rooms beyond the terrace. the blanket was just the perfect weight and i had the entire dorm room and it’s own bathroom to myself. susan is a nice lady who seems to run the hostal. the facilities are super nice and clean. it has good lighting and a beautiful main floor with living space, kitchen and dining area!

Nice hostel, comfy beds, everything was clean. The guy who works at reception was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast included, you cook it yourself. Location in a peaceful area.

It lacks a nice common space to meet other travelers and any sort of activities. The lady running the place is just awesome but there is high potential to build a full set of experiences in Guanajuato and the region.

Location was great and Israel was so helpful, he even pick us at the bus terminal and gave us a route to meet Guanajuato. Hostel was nice and clean, great location.

Slight issue checking out as front desk is not manned 24/7 but I left my key with another guest and it was fine.

This hotel was like an oasis. The dorm room was beautiful and clean with luxurious furnishings. The bathroom and shower was like a fancy hotel. I was alone in the 4 bed dorm and there was another 4 bed dorm opposite where another guest was given the whole room too. I really appreciated that. Breakfast is simple. Really comfortable sofa by the front. Host was lovely.

There isn't someone around at all times but the guy who ran it was on call if I needed anything.. it's a little further out of town, but a taxi is cheap and the walk into town is nice!

Because it was low season the hostel wasn't super busy but the beds were comfy and the rooftop was nice! The bathrooms are private for each room which is a bonus. Guanajuato is definitely worth the trip, it's so beautiful. The hostel is out of town but near a very popular market and also near the dam which is a tourist attraction. The hostel is also near tacos monkey, which is an amaaaazing taco place.

Taxes and VAT weren't included in our total, so we ended up paying 20% more than we expected to. Tried to resolve with Booking as it was their error to no avail.

Room was a good size, well designed and clean. Kitchen was new with good appliances, although only one cooker so we did have to wait to cook at times. The area is slightly outside of the main zone but much preferred as it's quieter (there was a daily parade while we were there!). The hostel is at the start of the trail to hike La Bufa,and there's a lovely and cheap greengrocer within a 2m walk. Rooms were cleaned daily. The hostel was good for meeting other travellers.

Very beautiful hostel, amazing decoration and one of the cleanest hostels I've ever been to. Good location about 10 minutes walk to the center. Lots of convenient stores around, quiet place. I loved the rooftop terrasse overlooking the city. They offer a simple breakfast with coffee, cereals, eggs, milk, and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook in your own. Beds were comfortable. Nice and helpful staff, we appreciate all their efforts to make our stay memorable.
