Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Our stay at Plumeria, on a secluded island, was absolutely unforgettable. From the warm welcome to every thoughtful detail, everything was perfect. The hotel beautifully blends luxury with sustainability, offering comfortable rooms with stunning views. The variety of activities, like diving and hiking, allowed us to fully appreciate the natural beauty around us. The dining was also exceptional, with fresh and authentic dishes. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique and paradise-like experience!

FranceWhat upset me the most was trying to pay expenses with the local currency, the Maldivian Rufiyaa, only to have it refused. They selectively accepted only notes that were in perfect, almost new condition. Any notes with even the slightest imperfection, though still in good condition, were rejected. Ironically, I was later able to use those same notes in other places without any issues. This was very frustrating—it makes no sense not to accept your own local currency, especially when it’s supposed to be the primary currency in circulation.
Although there were a few small things that needed fixing or adjustment – for example, in our room, the bidet wasn’t working properly, and there was a water leak. I’m not sure if this was what caused the unpleasant smell in the bathroom, something like mold or dampness, but it was noticeable. However, aside from this maintenance issue, I had no other problems with the hotel. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff are absolutely wonderful, and the breakfast is exceptional. The location is stunning as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hotel Plumeria – it’s well worth a stay!

ItalyThe beach was great and very long, with lots of shadowing umbrellas and sunbeds, the structure a bit old but still comfortable and always clean. Food was very good and there was a wide range of choice, especially the live cooking spots (the chefs were very kind and fast). All the staff has been welcoming and fine, a special mention to: -HASSAN from the PADI diving center: he has been a great instructor and made us fall in love with scuba diving. He is also a photographer so he made for us a short film about our immersion: a memory we will always keep in our heart. Also very punctual and professional. -CHATHURANGA from the restaurant: he was the best supervisor ever: always very careful and smiling. He made every meal more pleasant. -YOOSUF from the boat excursion: he was so funny and easy going, he is a local and told us a lot about his island.

ItalyTaxes applied to the extras (excursions and extra services) are high and not clear since the beginnig. In addition to that, credit card payment is +3,5% on the total. Really suggested to check out with cash.
Plumeria is in a perfect position, beautiful sea and coral reef, long bikini beach with all the furnitures free for Plumeria hosts. Rooms are clean and big. Excursions organised by the Plumeria team are a lot and prices are contained. Euro is accepted everywhere as well as credit card.

BulgariaRestaurant needs some attention- more adequate service, queues on the buffet, and waiting. Waiters from the a-lacart restaurant could proceed quicker. It is good to inform customers that the hotel accepts USD only by some emisions. .
Awesome location on beautiful island with many private places surrounded by palms and greenery. Magnificent sea and a reef, full with life. Saw hundreds of kinds of fishes, sharks, turtles, stingrays, and all this on 30 meters from the beach. Really nice and friendly stuff. Reasonable pricing and comfortable rooms and beds.

SwedenThe wifi is weak but you can buy a sim card for 50 USD at the reception if necessary. The shower is spacious but the temperature gets very hot or cold nothing in between. Slight sewage smell in the bathroom. Even though I informed the hotel our arrival time they made a mistake and didn't assign us on the morning boat which we should have been on, and the boat had left without us and we had to wait 5+ hours at the airport to ride the evening one.
We had a Premium Sea View Room and it was fantastic. The view from the large balcony was 180 degrees the beautiful sea, you will never get tired of it. It is worth paying extra to stay in this room. The balcony is big enough to lay a yoga mat facing the sea, and also has a long sofa as well as chairs and a table. I loved this room. The staff were also very friendly and housekeeping was done attentively every day. Beach towels are provided abundantly. There is a choice of meals from the a la carte menu for lunch / dinner, if you didn't book the buffet. On site diving centre and many non diving excursions planned every day. The beach front dining area was also a dream.

IndiaWe were there for christmas and they had prepare a gala dinner , we decided to opt out but there was no other dining option . We would have love to have some options and we ended up searching the entire island and found something .
The breakfast spread was good but repetitive . We loved the maldivian options. The property is right on the beach with one of the best coral reef. Just rent out the snorkels and have a gala time. The excursion we took had swim with sharks, turtle and coral reef and it was affordable . We took a day excursion to the nearby resort and it was all arranged by plumeria it was a exclusive experience .

RussiaCoffee. But it wasn't a problem for me because I like tea. And the refrigerator was a little bit noisy for me.
Nice calm hotel with clean beach and helpful staff. The room was clean, everything worked well. Good breakfast and dinner: tasty fish, fruits, vegetables and maldivian breakfast. Comfortable hard bed. The best choice if you want to relax for a reasonable price.

FinlandThe gym at the hotel was somewhat outdated, and not all the equipment was functional. On rainy days, water leaked into the gym from the ceiling. We also faced issues with the WiFi, as it didn't work properly and we constantly had to ask for new credentials. Fortunately, the staff were always friendly and willing to assist. Additionally, the shower in our room was inconsistent, alternating between too cold and too hot water.
Our stay at Plumeria Maldives Hotel was great, with delicious and varied meals, especially the fish and desserts. The staff was friendly, and the evening shark and stingray feedings were a really exciting addition to our experience.

Russia- coffee was a coffee powder - should be improved (poor Italian friends) - fresh juices for breakfast would be nice - bad smell in the toilet - little ants in the room near a fridge (they ate our food) - too many cats asking for food in the canteen
Overall, it was fantastic holiday. I love every day of it, Plumeria hotel is a best combination of reasonable price and high quality. Pros: - location is TOP (breakfast/dinners is so romantic near the ocean, very nice evening lights - beautiful atmosphere) - island itself is very green, they care about it wildness - amazing fauna (sharks, rays, tortoises, fishes all kinds, chickens, rabbits, starlings, fruit bats, cats. etc.) - all staff is very nice, welcoming, attentive to details and trying their best to feel you like on heaven - cleaning was very good - coconuts for 2$ each - soooo gooood - food (breakfast and dinner buffet are very good with nice selection of fruits, salads, fish, etc.) - best papaya, passion fruit and pineapple in my life - sharks feeding show every evening - great idea - free beach towels - beach loungers in the shade of palms - very important and nice touch for us - ocean is breathtaking, there is a nice areas where you could swim without any coral shoes (it is not deep but for us again it is a good thing), reef is rich and very alive - speed boat is 1 hour 20 minutes (feels like a like roller coaster but we loved it) What could be improved: - slippers in the room would be a nice addition to the bathrobes - drinking water without limit (now only 2 bottles per person (1 litre overall) - reception organisation - usually there are a long queues, too slow service

GeorgiaSometimes it is noticeable that the property itself is not brand new, but this won’t affect your stay in Plumeria.
The island itself is very nice and beautiful. The reef is amazing, snorkeling lovers will enjoy a lot. You can easily meet turtles, sharks, mantas and lot’s of different fishes. The property itself is stylish and clean. With own pool and all beach appliances. Staff is very friendly, nice and professional. Accessible also by public ferry! Which is also a nice benefit. Hotel offers variety of excursions with different price range from 25$ till 150$. You can also rent snorkeling set there for 8$/day. Kayak, pad, etc. is also available.

RussiaThis is the best place we’ve visited in Maldives. 100% value for money. Small and very nice island with perfect beaches. Plumeria provides great buffet meals, with a huge variety of local & international cuisine, for absolutely adequate cost (just 20$ per person - it’s REALLY AMAZING). You will be able to sit outside, right by the water, enjoy morning sea & island views, as well as night sky and safe sharks swimming right beneath you. What an amazing experience! Azeez, the host, makes sure there’s also something special happening every evening - local dance shows, special dinners for returning guests, tea parties and much more. Every evening at 7:30 pm you can witness sharks feeding process right near the restaurant, a must-see attraction! You really don’t need anything else during your holiday. Plumeria has it all. It was the best place we stayed amongst 3 other locations on diffetent islands. We also enjoyed boat dinner for $65 per person. Absolutely worth it. You get delicious food privately cooked for you at the boat. They do fishing right before cooking, meaning you eat the freshest fish. It takes around 3-4 hours, a bit away from islands, you can watch sunset on the roof of a boat while they cook your dinner. Hoping to return again some day.

SwitzerlandJust a small thing to be improved, if possible. The Internet signal is too weak in some areas and rooms. Due to the increased number of guests, an upgrade would be great for those who, being on holidays, also need to work a bit😂.
It was the second time at Plumeria. We enjoyed so much last year, that we decided to stay longer this time, 12 days. Everything was perfect, everybody was truly friendly, starting with the Direction, Mr. Azeez and Mr Kumara, to all the hotel Staff, Reception, Restaurant and Diving and water Sports Centre. Special thanks also to Yokoo and Hassan ( diving instructor). We recommend a lot this hotel and for sure we will come back in the future.

The island this hotel is on is incredible.. So clean and abundant sealife and epic beachfront. The staff go above and beyond and the hotel is clean and quiet.. If you are missing a proper drink the hotel can arrange a day/evening trip over to cinnamon 5*resort at a very reasonable price too... RussiaThe room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A couple of little things that would be worth adding: an adapter for more chargers and at least one shelf in the wardrobe. The Wi-Fi has improved comparing to our last visit but still weak to send photos in the messengers. You can buy a SIM card on the reception for a better connection. P.S. The eagle from our last visit was injured a year ago and can't fly properly - so there are lots of crows instead. And bring the mosquitoes protection with you - we had a "high season" of these insects. Otherwise they will not let you bask on the bikini beach sunbeds.
It was our second trip to Plumeria hotel on Thinadhoo. The previous one was 2 years ago. The island is just 1.5 hours by speedboat from Male. The Plumeria boats are comfortable and the team skillfully copes with small waves (you don't get seasick). There is a great reef around the island. The house reef was even better than 2 years ago - the corals are reviving and you can see even more fish around; turtles, sting rays and dolphins also included. Mind the sharks though - they are frequently passing after 3 p.m. to their feeding spot. It takes 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel to the canopies of the bikini beach, along the way you have to follow the dress code. There are also canopies just in front of the hotel on the beach if you're too lazy to walk or the weather is unstable. The cleanliness is high. Daily cleaning, twice a day replenish supplies of consumables and water. Excellent buffet. Our meal plan was HB and we really recommend it. Great fresh fruits, intricate desserts, salads, good fish and different special corners with live action. All the staff is very friendly, always ready to help: smiling reception staff, quick waiters, friendly chefs. The general manager Azeez is really caring and arranges everything - including activities on Tuesdays and Fridays and special treatment for repeaters. This was unexpected and very pleasant: free cocktails/ice cream, special hot pot dinner, excursion to a sandbank. They also upgraded our room to a sea view one for free of charges. That was real luxury and we are very grateful for our holiday! As a conclusion, I can assume that Plumeria and Thinadhoo itself is a great place to stay, especially in the low season. There are more canopies on the bikini beach compared to 2 years ago and we were always able to find one even in the prime time.
