Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hungary- A bit far away from all notable beaches or attractions. Recommend to rent a car / scooter. - WiFi connectivity was not very reliable in the seaside bungalow. (it was however better in the common areas, e.g., the dinner place)
We have booked the seaside bungalow. It was absolutely marvelous. Albeit slightly higher priced than the other rooms, it was worth every penny. Throughout the entire night, we could hear the tranquil sounds of the waves as the balcony is literally 1-2 meters apart from the ocean. Such a unique experience! Other highlights include: - Awesome staff, very nice and helpful people - Amazing and versatile meals (you can request dinner as well for a fee) - Cozy environment - Ample space to park your car if applicable to you (just be careful not to park to a spot where you risk coconuts falling on your car :)) - Cute and friendly dog Overall, highly recommended.

SeychellesNothing, we will come back as we are living in a neighboring island.
This charming Maison d’hôtes is a beautiful character villa conveniently located next to Port Louis. It’s the perfect accommodation for those wishing to visit the capital, the northern part of the island, and the shopping malls like Bagatelle and Tribeca. A very good option as well for business men looking for something more personal. The breakfast and the dinner served under the thatched roof are simple but savoury.

exceptionally friendly, comfortable, and delightful hotel. All the staff were fantastic, helpful friendly and it is a very informal lovely relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful location on the coast with a lovely swimming pool. They recommended to me a taxi driver who drove me around for the week; he was absolutely brilliant and I hope that they can pass on to him my gratitude and thanks. I hope he get lots of business from them!

South AfricaBreakfast was just average and it's not that close to the nice beaches, but well positioned for travelling to Port Louis. Bathroom a little cramped, but didn't really bother me.
This place is like a home from home. very relaxed, not too many guests and great for working. Lovely pool and places to laze. I liked it that they offered meals as a choice, which meant not having to go out to restaurants. Room was huge and comfortable, with everything one could need.

Netherlandsthe only minor is that there is not so much to do in the city where it is. If you are ok with only chilling at the hotel (a really nice place to do so) then you have to have a car

FinlandIt seemed the TV channels didn't work, but it was not a problem for us. We didn't even mention it to the staff, because we were too busy exploring the beautiful Mauritius to watch TV.
Beautiful setting, charming building, decent pool, nicely arranged outer areas, friendly staff. Good breakfast in a lovely setting. Good base to explore Mauritius especially if you have a car. Room was clean and had all we needed.

United States of AmericaThis was a perfect oasis of calm just outside of Port Louis. It was very easy to take the bus or taxi to the city. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and kind. I especially appreciated Yann and Ben, who answered all of my Port Louis questions and helped me figure out transportation. I went ahead and paid for the dinner each night and I was so glad that I did. Delicious home cooked three-course meals for a reasonable price. They were even able to accommodate my vegetarian diet. The hotel would always set separate tables for each party, but sometimes I would start chatting with the other guests and we would move our tables together. The hotel attracted a very friendly tourists from many different places. The beds were comfortable and I liked the room decorations. Port Louis empties out around 16:30 every day, which was the perfect time to come home to Villa Anakao and take a late afternoon dip in the pool before dinner. I saw some pretty spectacular sunsets from the hotel pool! I loved that the hotel had an honour system so that you could help yourself to a beer from the bar whenever you wanted one. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Port Louis!

United States of AmericaI didn't realize unless you asked for a ground level floor, you could be placed on the second floor without a lift. Location rather isolated so you either had to catch a local bus or taxi to go anywhere. Really no beach access due to large boulders.
Lovely breakfast & dinner. Honor system for alcohol consumption. Gazebo poolside for happy hour & meals. Tables & chairs on the veranda to enjoy a nice breeze. Upper-level room for views.
