We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

MauritiusThe rate at the restaurant is quite high. But the food is delicious. Could better deal with contingencies concerning outdoor activities. Could have a better plan and concessions.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The staff and personnel are very hospitable. I had some personal requests which have been attended upto my expectations. The food is well prepared and tasty. The facilities at the hotel are well maintained for usage by customers and I was very satisfied with the activities that were included in the package.

SwedenPerhaps too long working hours for the staff since we saw the same people during the day (early morning - late at night). It would be great if the hotel activities were announced better so more people could join them (football, volleyball, archery). Many people didn't know where they were happening and therefore didn't join. The hotel could also benefit from organizing evening events so that guests can also mingle and interact. There was always music (pianist) but it was more relaxed for the bar area. A card game night, or dance night, so that guests can also feel open to mingling if they feel like it.
The hotel has a beautiful beach with free water sports for guests. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable. The food was delicious and for the price, we believe it was a great deal. We celebrated our honeymoon at the hotel and they made us feel special on our arrival with some snacks and gifts. The Spa and the gym were a nice bonus during rainy/windy days.

Special mention "Keshwar" at Reception Desk went out of his way to accommodate our preferences. All the staff from housekeeping to porter to restaurants to beach staff were amazingly helpful, professional and courteous. We have been to many other 5 star hotels in Mauritius. The Residence has the most amazing staff.

FranceThe experience at The Residence Hotel was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to provide anything you needed. For example, my wife isn’t a fan of seafood, and they prepared a special dinner just for her, different from the menu that night. The hotel’s design makes it feel as if the beach is a part of the hotel itself, which was truly unique. We enjoyed sitting on the hotel’s deckchairs just 2 meters from the beach, even at night. It was an experience like no other, and we will definitely be coming back.

GermanyNo Wi-Fi at the beach area, which can be good if want to be offline like me, but for my mom it was a bit difficult cuz she couldn’t research stuff on the internet what to do on the island.
I was traveling with my mom. The room (garden view) was spacious and had a partial view on the sea. The sea view rooms are less spacious. The staff is very friendly but sometimes a bit clumsy, they do not anticipate. But hey, they are still very friendly and deserve my respects. Food is good, but not great. You’ll find something for sure at the buffet.

Lithuaniabreakfast was ok, but dinner was a little disaster. Sorry, but you should change the chef. The food was really flavourless (even curry), the ingredients do not match (white fish with sweet jam), some dishes do not match to the recipes (creme brulee, greek salad), lack of sauces, the fish was too dry or too raw, no salad buffet. Lobster evening doesnt worth additional expenses: dinner consisted of three dishes made from one little lobster. I was succeeded to have warm wine twice and prosecco without bubbles. Instant coffee in the room should be taken out.
comfy beds, nice beach, perfect massage. It was pleasure to have very early breakfast before flight and it was served perfect. Water bottles in the room. Pleasant personal, sometimes too slow ( in the restaurant), but its ok:)

United KingdomThe alcoholic drinks were very expensive - a small glass of very ordinary wine was £10. Service was variable from very good to very indifferent. The daily evening buffet was quite good but if you want a change and go to the Plantation restaurant the credit wasn’t great for those on half board. Also the food at the Plantation wasn’t anything to write home about. There are some sailing boats for guest use but I was told “I couldn’t use them today because of the coral” Not entirely sure what he meant as there were plenty of speed boats in the water!

SloveniaThe hotel would need a minor refreshment. Due to the bad weather they cancelled all the outdoor activities but did not offer an adequate compensation. It was funny since they explained is that they are cancelling everything (snorkelling trips, etc.) but that we have to pay extra for the halfboard of our 5year old child.
Very nice surrounding, rooms are are of timeless design and it is beachfromt with a small coral reef for snorkelling. The staff was nice and helpfull.

United StatesNot much. A coffee shop would have been an extra bonus. The appetizers at the a la carte restaurant (The Plantation) were lukewarm, not hot; the main course and dessert were excellent.
