Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon and it was incredible. The staff were all so wonderful and always so smiley and attentive, the facilities were great as were the restaurants. We upgraded for a sea view room and it was so worth it. Loved every minute and would 100% stay again

My husband and I went on our Honeymoon on the 2nd of June 2024, we had an absolutely amazing stay! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and we were treated like royalty. From the moment we arrived we felt special and not just like another visitor. At the boathouse we had an amazing experience and Emmanuel and Shaun were excellent water ski instructors and company. At the Italian restaurant Pravesh was an amazing waiter who recommended the absolute best food and drinks for us to try. Overall we had a lovely Honeymoon and would 100% the Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa to anyone looking for an exciting and wonderful holiday.

South AfricaWe stayed in room 152, and the aircon was an issue. From what I’ve read on other reviews, the aircons seem to be outdated. There is a damp smell in the passage way to the rooms and the carpets are always wet. Maybe remove the carpets? The spa is also extremely overpriced for very average treatments.
They cater for everyone, food, entertainment etc. There is never not food or something to do. We enjoyed stunning ocean views, lounged on golden sands and swam in sparkling waters.

DenmarkThey had not put our restaurant reservations in their system despite we had received a written confirmation from Mrs Juliana Triton before arrival. Noisy kids in all pools Tables for lunch not always clean - experienced this several times. Rooms ok but a little worn out - renovation would be a good move Mixed attitudes at the boat house - some of the staff not that service minded. Many sport activities (water, tennis, golf, fitness etc.)
Good location by the sea and a nice beach (with rocks and stones though, but beautiful and ok for snorkelling. Good wifi throughout most of the hotel. Nice and cozy interior design and lightening at night throughout the resort. Most staff was friendly and accomodating. Especially our housekeeping friend Mr. Heeroo (see photo) was very helpful, extraordinarily service minded and always smiling. He even made a dog for us (see photo) :-) The overall quality was good for a 4 star resort - especially compared to the 4-stars hotels in Europe Close to the public beach where you can buy good cheap local food (food prices at the resort is like in Western Europe). Really beautiful sunset most evenings.

United KingdomHard to fault! It could do with an extra adult only pool as the main pool was mainly children and was often very busy but then if you’re a family, this is a bonus! There seems to be as many Managers as Staff, which can make service a little slow despite there being a lot of people milling about, that said we weren’t in a rush!
We had a fabulous sea view tucked away from the main resort, our room was spacious and you had everything you needed. The resort is beautifully maintained (even during a cyclone!), there’s plenty of little quiet areas to sunbath and swim and they’ve incorporated the old buildings and cannons with the new hotel seamlessly. We tend to avoid All Inclusive but there was a great choice of restaurants and it was by far the best food we’ve had in a package deal, changed daily and you could find a dish for every taste. Great location to explore from, rental cars are really cheap and you can reach all the major sights in a couple of hours.

AustraliaThe kids area around the pool is worth avoiding if you’re after a relaxing getaway. We mostly spent time on the beach so it’s easy enough to find a spot to unwind. The toilet in the room didn’t have the greatest flush of all time.
We had an amazing time on our honeymoon at the Cannonbier Beachcomber. The resort has everything you need!! easy access to the beach and pool, stunning bay views for sunset and diversity of restaurants. We enjoyed the gym and sauna each day as well as the wide range of food at the buffet. The boat trip to flat island that the hotel organised for our Honeymoon was also a highlight. thank you!!

AustraliaNothing!
The hotel was lovely, two pools perfect for families (one ideal for the younger kids). Our 2 bed apartment was perfect, bedding comfortable and the food (half board, dined at Frangipani) was great - a selection of local and international cuisine. Free use of paddleboat was good fun. What we loved most was the staff, all so warm and friendly to us and our 3 kids. We have stayed in a few hotels on the island and we would come back here.

DenmarkThere wasn’t any drinking water included in half board at all, not even bottle or two in the room, so you paid again for every single water bottle. Also, if you like completely quiet place to sleep, this might be tricky, as everyday there was music until 11pm and the bass sounds travelled the walls even in the farthest rooms from the music.
It was heaven on Earth! Great location, everything in the resort was so close yet didn’t feel crowded at all, amazing scenery, amazing facilities, great pools & beach access. The food, especially the daily buffet was really tasty and everyone, adult or child, can find something to eat.

Incredible stay. There was so many staff, we never had to wait for anything. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The food was the nicest food at an all inclusive I have ever had. The local dishes varied but with options like fresh stone baked pizza for something western. Amazing watersports offered free of charge, except the diving which was not expensive and amazing! Thank you to the guys who took care of us with that!

United KingdomPool was really cold, not heated, so not good in Mauritian winter months. Also, half board you don’t get any complimentary water, which is disappointing. Some of the equipment is getting tired (pool tables & ping pong tables) and the rooms are older, but still very clean, comfortable and decent.
Great resorts for the family, with activities, beautiful beach & setting. The staff were all excellent, and the dive center is fabulous!

The friendliness of the people, the atmosphere, the children-friendliness, that there is an interesting youth-program etc. etc The help I got, when My sister broke her arm on the way to swim. Nice idea with the two special restaurants. Excellent was the presence of so many nice people, working and making holiday!!! The music and dance in the evenings!
