Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongI liked it. Property is showing its age and a few touch ups are needed BUT with that said, it is a lovely place and we were very happy. It’s was a great break away. A possible and very very easy improvement is the breakfast, especially the western breakfast. Breakfast makes a big impression and is often the first experience that a guest has in the hotel. A great breakfast can help the guest overlook many an issue, it’s a good tool to have up your sleeve. Making your hotel a breakfast destination… well that would really put you on the map! Get good bread (not that cheap bread you have now) in fact you probably could make it in house, I expect a hotel of this size would have commercial ovens, bread is easy and imagine how good the dining area would smell. Imagine having a reputation for the best bread in Macau… that would be awesome and would draw in the guests for the breakfast alone! Get proper bacon and cook it properly ( not that cheap stuff - my goodness it is truly disgusting) and sausages, make sure they are pork not chicken, and if you have to have chicken, I know people love them, then have both Get a trained egg chef, I would also say, use good eggs as it makes all the difference. Training to fry cook a breakfast is super super easy and could be managed by the junior kitchen staff. The precooked fried eggs (that were all broken and in a pile under a light… well that’s gross and totally unnecessary, because frying an egg fresh and to order is so very easy, when trained, sadly the person you had doing it, would only do omelettes and they were dry and over cooked, a fresh fried or poached egg… super easy to do and easy to train. Invite me back and I would be very very happy to do the training, if you need! Otherwise, a great stay.
Location lovely, quiet, big rooms and comfortable beds.

Hong KongService in restaurant is a little slow; be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a taxi if trying to go elsewhere (or catch shuttle to Venetian & get taxi from there)
Staff are lovely, beds super comfortable and pool complex is great! Rooms are large, all with a great terrace.

AustraliaThe location and lack of transport options to the ferry were challenging but I think this may be a Macau wide issue.
They truly went the extra mile to make our anniversary stay special. We enjoyed the pools and poolside service with friends. The rooms were enormous! Breakfast was great too.

Hong KongA lot of areas were not very clean. Carpet was moldy and very stained. Lots of rooms would place their dirty room service plates outside their doors but no one would clean it up. The bar service at the pool was not great. It took so long for us to order our drinks. And we had to follow up with the staff 3 or 4 times.
The breakfast was great. Standard food selection but still very fresh and tasty. The pool is excellent with ample seating and lounge areas.

Hong KongThe bus service. Given that the strip actually isn't that far away it seems somewhat odd that the regular bus service doesn't go on a loop and take the most direct route, or go on a loop. The hotel shuttle is great but it doesn't. run all the time
Casual relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

Hong KongThere was an issue with air conditioning in the room and the temperature was uncomfortable. Upon raising this with reception, some one came to the room at 10 pm and after spending 30 mins just said it needs deep cleaning and nothing could be done to fix. We were offered to be moved to a different room but who would like to do that in middle of night with kids. I would expect basic amenities be checked before allocating rooms to guests

Hong KongIssue I have is transport. It is very difficult to get a taxi from the hotel. This is very stressful especially after a most enjoyable experience at the hotel. Ideally the hotel should have access to ‘ hotel cars’ which can be booked or a scheduled bus service to macau ferry pier
Staff excellent - breakfast very nice, room was great and pool facilities most enjoyable
