- Air conditioning didn't work well. Heat and humidity made us feel very uncomfortable. Didn't sleep well. Luckily we stayed only one night. Another one wouldn't have lasted. Hopefully they will fix that problem in that specific room.

My room overlooked the back of the restaurant. Also, unfortunately the fridge had previously malfunctioned so the carpet was damp in that corner.

Breakfast was a-la-carte only, rather than buffet. The mattresses on the beds were hard. The hotel has no swimming pool.

Convenient waterfront location. The receptionists Angela and Jelena were helpful and accommodating.

There's one thing that disappointed us a bit. When we checked in, we were told that the hotel restaurant offered 20% discount to their guests. However, when we asked for the bill and the 20% discount, the waitor said we had to show them room card before hand, which we didn't know. We kind of had some argument about that and paid for full price. Even though the money wasn't that much, we were very upset about the rule. Anyway, after a while, the receptionist came to our room and returned the money to us. So it wasn't that bad, but I think they need to inform the guests more details about the discount. In places we traveled, it never happened before.

Generally, the stay in Astoria was beyond my expectation. First of all, they upgraded our room to superior suite with amazing sea view, from the living room and the bedroom! Secondly, the staffs were very nice and helpful~ especially the receptionists. (I don't remember the name of the girl who checked in for us. She's the sweetest hotel staff I've ever met! ) The food in their hotel restaurant was so delicious. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. I still miss the seafood risotto there~

At the time of the reservation, we pointed out that we wanted a room on the first floor, but our room was on the second floor.

The location of the hotel and the room view was perfect! The breakfast was exceptional, with freshly squeezed juices available. The staff in the hotel is very friendly, Marko was very much admired by our kids.

Our room was small with poor outlook. The front rooms are very good but not sure how much more expensive.

Fantastic location with great sheltered patio at front for breakfast n evening meals. Food good as was menu content.

The lighting in the room could be better. It's not a big deal, but I would have appreciated that. It just felt a little dark in there in the evening.

The location of the hotel is great! So nice to walk out and see the promenade next to the sea right away. It was easy to walk into town too for markets, banks etc. The hotel staff was lovely, helpful, very friendly and welcoming!

My room was on the third floor with no elevator. Curtains did not cover windows so very bright in the mornings. Shower was old and heat and water pressure not good

The stairs are quite steep if you have heavy luggage.

The location was fantastic. Right in the waterfront with a restaurant overlooking the bay. The bathroom was lovely with a big bathtub. Ana was exceptionally helpful - she carried my bag up the stairs, helped me locate places to go.
