Gorgeously renovated and decorated, very comfortable and incredibly welcoming - I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone! We travelled with our young children and they couldn’t have been made more welcome by the lovely staff if they were family.

The entire riad was beautiful, clean and peaceful. The staff of women were amazing in every way and professional. Immediately, we were greeted and treated like family. It is a family atmosphere and me and my family and I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Ryad Watier isn't just a guest house; it's an experience. Located in the heart of town, it puts you right where you want to be for exploring and adventuring. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff, led by the ever-so-kind manager, Hayat. Hayat has a knack for making you feel right at home. Her warmth and helpfulness are genuine, and she truly goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. While I can't name every incredible staff member, let me tell you - they're all fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and always with a smile, they make you feel like part of the family. Another true star of the show here is Mazda, the phenomenal cook. Her culinary skills are beyond comparison! I have never had a better breakfast in my life. Fresh, delicious, and bursting with flavour. Seriously, Mazda deserves her own standing ovation! The hotel itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff does a fantastic job, ensuring a comfortable and spotless environment throughout. In fact, I ended up extending my stay because I was simply enjoying myself so much. If you're looking for a place to stay in Essaouira, look no further than ryad Watier. You won't be disappointed!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The Ryad was so beautiful from top to bottom. Loved the communal areas of the garden, library and particularly the rooftop terrace. My room was cosy, clean and well maintained. The bed, pillows and duvet were so comfortable so I slept very well every night. Breakfast was very tasty with a choice of how you'd like your eggs and perfectly served on the rooftop terrace. The Ryad is run and maintained merticulously by Hayat, Fateha and all the friendly staff. They were all so friendly and amazing hosts. The ryad even has its own hammam and the treatments were beyond amazing. The best massage I've ever had!! Can't wait to return again and again!

Everything here is perfect: all the other reviews are true! Every member of staff is exceptionally kind and hospitable, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The building itself is amazing, my room was super relaxing and comfortable, the views from the terrace are breathtaking and the breakfast is excellent. There’s also countless beautiful corners throughout the property to sit with a book or do some work. I stayed here for 3 nights and left feeling totally energised and refreshed. I would recommend Ryad Watier in the strongest possible terms to anyone coming to Essaouira, and I hope to be back in the future!

My room was on the upper floor and technically didn't have a window (only small one closer to the ceiling). Not that it was very disturbing especially since I was staying only one night, but for a longer stay it might be not the best option (lack of sunlight and no option of getting fresh air). Other than that the room is far from being soundproof, but also fine for a short stay.

Amazing riad in a very central yet quiet location of Essaouira. Very tastefully designed with plenty of local art pieces. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel at home even when you are staying there for one night only (my case). Special kudos to the traditional moroccan breakfast on the terrace!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Fatiha was so amazing and friendly! She was so welcoming when we got there and all of the staff were super friendly as well. The riad is in a great location and we felt very safe. Fatiha gave us her best recommendations and we had a great stay!

The side street to reach the ryad a little difficult to find without google maps and it's not the cleanest

A beautiful ryad with well kept furniture and furnishing and a roof top restaurant for breakfast with the option of eating inside or outside depending on the weather. Excellent staff and the manger arranged a dinner reservation for us which we really enjoyed.

I liked how clean the property was. I enjoyed that the property was in a quiet location and that meant I got a good nights sleep, it was near the bus station. The staff were lovely especially the manager Hyatt who went out of her way to ensure I had a great stay. She made a fire for me, arranged for my bags to be transported to the bus station at no extra cost and an electric blanket for the bed. She made the stay feel like I was at a home rather than a hotel. As a woman travelling alone I felt she went out of her way to help me and make my stay comfortable and easier! She is amazing and had great attitude to customer service. Thank you Hyatt for making my stay wonderful I can't wait to return!

I Couldn’t recommend this lovely Riad enough. I was just by myself and the all the ladies made me feel so welcome as soon as I arrived and could not do enough to help me and make me feel at home. The breakfast was beautiful, which is served up on the terrace with a lovely view. The room was also beautiful with little lovely little touches such as shampoo, shower gel, fresh filtered water everyday, rose water spray and amenities. and there is a laundry service too which is super handy. I wish I could have stayed here longer. The best place I have stayed in for a long time! There is also a beautiful cat called Yoda who will come and join you for breakfast and lounge around in the sun waiting for cuddles 😸🧡 Thank you so much for a beautiful stay I will definitely return here when I come back.

Riad Watier was a great find, right in the heart of the Medina but still quiet at night. A charming little Riad and so pretty! Fatiha and all the other staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful, booking things for us and giving advice on where to go and what to do. They looked after us so well - even putting on the heaters and electric blankets for when we returned from a night out when it was a bit chilly! The roof terrace breakfasts are amazing! Be aware that it is on several levels. We had my elderly mother with us who found the stairs a bit of a challenge! Thank you!
