Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

First of all, kudos to both Adil and Yassine! They were amazing!! Yassine picked us up somewhere because it was a little challenging to find the riad. He offered us tea but because we wanted to go out for dinner (we were already hungry), we were not able to have a welcome tea 😅 Adil prepared the breakfast for us the next morning which we really enjoyed! We loved it. He also booked a private transfer for us to the train station. When we left, he called the taxi driver to let us know that my boyfriend left his rings at the table. They sent the rings to me to Chefchaouen. Yassine even skipped work to do that which we really appreciate. They went above and beyond to make sure we get the rings back. We appreciate their efforts so much! I've never met hospitality people who've ever done that, only them! About the riad, it was beautiful! I loved the bed and i loved how clean the room was! The location was good because medina was very chaotic and noisy but whenever we get in to the riad, it's like we were being brought to a different dimension because all we hear were birds and ourselves talking which we thought was cool! Thank you for everything! We highly recommend Riad Meriem! One of the best accommodations!!

United StatesThey allowed smoking in the courtyard which permeated throughout the entire place due to the open nature of the property. Fortunately smoking is so uncommon that it was only 1 couple that was smoking but we had to avoid being outside whenever they were
It’s a beautiful, quiet place with welcoming staff and wonderful food.

The location is perfect for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the heart of Moroccan culture. A special shoutout to Adil, who was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our visit. His hospitality and kindness truly made a difference, and we felt very well cared for. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and gave us great tips on where to go. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this riad for anyone looking for an authentic and welcoming experience in Morocco!

GermanyOur stay at this Riad in Marrakech was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed into a world of beauty, tranquility, and authentic Moroccan charm. The Riad itself is stunning, with its intricate decor, peaceful courtyard, and a rooftop terrace that offers breathtaking views of the Medina and beyond. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the outstanding service from the staff, especially Yassin and Adel. Yassin greeted us with genuine warmth every day, always ready with a smile and fantastic suggestions for local spots to explore. Adel’s attention to detail and hospitality was equally remarkable. He made sure every part of our stay was flawless, ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of at all times. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, making us feel like we were staying with friends. The rooms were beautifully appointed and spotless, combining traditional Moroccan touches with modern comfort. The breakfasts were a highlight—delicious, fresh, and served with care, making for a perfect start to each day. We cannot thank Yassin and Adel enough for making our stay so special. Their warmth and professionalism truly elevated the experience, and we left feeling like we’d made new friends. We highly recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakech—it’s an oasis in the city, and the service is second to none. We’ll definitely be back!

SloveniaWe just returned from Riad Meriem and we had an amazing time. It is located in back alleys of old medina, just couple min walk to lively medina streets and 5min walk to the closest drivable street. Maybe little hard to find first day if you go alone but riad staff can wait for you at drop-off location. Riad was really beautiful, decorated in traditional but stylish and elegant way. It has a charming courtyard and also a nice rooftop terrace, both available for breakfast. Each room is individually themed. Our was Red room with nice personal patio. But the most important thing: the riad STAFF: Yassine and Adil. They went beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. They run the riad in such a professional and friendly way so you can really feel like at home. They can assist you with all the needed info about Marrakech and Marroco, day trips ... We found a new "HOME" far away from home and we found new amazing friends.

ItalyRiad Meriem is a true gem in the heart of Marrakech. The atmosphere is magical, with an attention to detail that makes every corner of the riad charming and welcoming. Reaching it was our first adventure in Marrakech, as it is nestled within the maze-like alleyways typical of the Medina. What made our stay truly unforgettable was Mounir. Always available and with a contagious smile, he fulfilled every request with a level of professionalism and kindness that is rare to find. Whether it was advice on the city, organizing our meals, or simply making us feel at home, Mounir was exceptional. We visited in August when the city temperatures hover around 45 degrees, but the property is beautiful and much cooler compared to the heat outside, making the stay more tolerable. The patio features a small accessible pool, and the birds sing undisturbed—a true oasis for relaxation. I highly recommend Riad Meriem to anyone looking for an authentically Moroccan experience in Marrakech. We can’t wait to return!

GermanyAubergine room was quite dark, the WiFi in the room often didn’t work properly.
The riad was located within walking distance to the souks, which was great. The pool was really refreshing and the roof terrasse was great for hanging out whenever the medina got too hectic. The staff was brilliant, helping us by printing out our boarding pass, offering us advice on sights and restaurants and organising a taxi for us. The breakfast provided each day kept us full for a few hours and was very tasty.

United KingdomLoved everything about our stay, our host monay (not sure if we're spelling that right) was amazing, nothing was a trouble for him. Our room was lovely, beautifully luxurious and a perfect getaway when the heat gets too much. The terrace upstairs is where we had breakfast and it was perfect, a lovely simple moroccan breakfast to start the day. Definitely recommend getting the transfer from the airport as it can be tricky to find through the winding backstreets of the medina but once you get your bearings it's easy and perfectly located to explore the old town of marrakech. As a whole Definitely recommend 100%

United KingdomThe WiFi in the room was tricky, as much as we liked being off grid, it was necessary to speak to our son at home and arrange bits for our all too short stay in this beautiful city. You could generally connect somewhere in the property though. Outside entrance very unassuming down a dim alleyway, but this made entering this property even more special. It does say in description champagne/wine but this isn’t possible so I just brought some from duty free and they kept in their fridge until the special day, which was lovely of them.
Firstly Mouner was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. I had asked for our room to be made special as we were celebrating and it was done beautifully. I had also prearranged some things that I couldn’t confirm because of WiFi, and Mouner not only helped to sort but helped to keep my surprises! He was always calm and polite too. The bed was comfortable and air con needed! The breakfasts on the terrace were lovely. And the ambiance was just sublime, peaceful and calm.

ArgentinaAMAZING RIAD! Yassine and Munir are super helpful and welcoming. Yassine received us with mint tea and explained us about the city and recommended restaurants nearby. One of the days we had an excursion early in the morning and Munir made sure we had breakfast before even if it was before the hour the breakfast started usually. The room was extremely beautiful and the breakfast in the terrace delicious and very complete. The location is fantastic in the hearth of the old Medina with everything reachable by foot. Please make sure you go up to the terrace and enjoy the peace up there. Also, bare in mind that despite the good location it can be tricky to find the Riad the first time, make sure you download the recommended app MAPS.ME since the Apple Maps will take you to another road and you risk to get lost like it happened to us the first day.
