Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalNot really much to point out, considering the african environement, there's a bit of sand and dust everywhere. The room was a bit degraded, specially the bathtub and the shower.
Wonderful staff, they'll help you with everything and make you feel at home. Beautiful inner garden with a great parking spot, the room itself is big and confortable. The dinner at the restaurant was very good, perfect chicken tanjine, felt like my grandmothers chicken stew. Breakfast was simple but enough. Really well located in the main street of Tinghir - right at the entrance of the town. You can easily walk to the souk, cross the palms tree to visit the ruins of Mosque Ikalalne.

PortugalQuite simple but comfortable. The rooms were cold, and there's a hole in the wall directly to the street; I didn't understand its purpose, so I had to cover it with a towel. The shower broke, but they fixed it promptly. The window has no curtains; it's just painted in various colors. Overall, I recommend it.

ItalyMaybe the room could do with some refreshing but it was still very nice.
Great place if you're travelling by car or bike. It's right on the main street and there's free private parking. Even in this position, the room was very quiet and we rested well. Breakfast was nice, abundant, and served in a very nicely decorated room. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

RussiaThis was a perfect place for us to say during a roadtrip Marrakech - Ourrzazate - Tinghir - Merzouga. - Free parking on hotel area - Easy to find on the road, great location - Quite rooms (we had rooms on the 1st floor) - Outdoor patio with a cute garden + it's perfect place for breakfast - AC in all rooms - Hot water, very pleasant bathrooms - Clean sheets, towels, blankets, no smell in the rooms, everything is in a very well maintained condition - Menu for lunch or dinner in the restaurant - actually yummy food - Great Wi-fi signal, we even had a bunch of zoom meetings there - Entrance to the ancient Medina with clay houses is in a 3 min walk to the left from the hotel (a secret entrance above the clay stairs, the first stairs on your way) - worth 1-2 hour visit to wonder around for some real local experience. Definitely would come back again

PortugalAt first glance, the room looked basic but acceptable, but that opinion changed when we saw the bathroom and looked a bit closer. The bath tub was awful - to the point that we didn’t take showers that night and waited until we reached the next destination. The bottom of the tub wasn't flat, so water puddled there and couldn't drain out. The surface of the bath looked terrible. There was no shower curtain and the wall mount for the shower head had broken off. At least there was a drain in the bathroom floor for the water that would have obviously sprayed all over the floor had we used it. The wash basin didn't look much better. The beds and headboards were made of concrete (with mattresses on top) - and one of the beds had cracks in the concrete. The double bed was built against the wall, so whoever was sleeping on that side would have to climb over their partner, if they needed the bathroom during the night. There were no curtains on the window. The rug on the floor looked to be dirty. There was a large gap at the top of the door, that was an open invitation to mosquitoes and other insects. We stuffed a towel into the gap for the night, to keep insects out. The room door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months - but at least that was on the outside. The hotel was advertised as providing toiletries, but the extent of them was two small bars of soap (fortunately we travel with our own supplies). Overall, just a shabby and dirty place.
We had some lovely hotels during our two week trip to Morocco, but this wasn’t one of them! In fact, it was the worst hotel of the trip by far. Perhaps the nightly rate of €26 should have been a clue. I'm truly amazed that people have rated this place so highly - some rating it as a 10! I can't rate it any higher than a 2, and I considered a 1. On the positive side, it had secure parking - and we were only there for one night.

The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with information about the area and things to do. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

BrazilExceeded expectations! We booked other place to stay but, unfortunately, that place was struggling for hot water in the shower, and that´s mandatory, specially after a long day in the desert coming from Merzouga, so we had to cancel and find a new place to recharge for the next day and that´s where La Kasbah shows off. We found at Booking.com, booked, headed towards and were atteded by Tariq. I explained him the situation and that I had a 69 yo Mom travelling with me, requested to go to check the hot water at the shower before, so he did, and much more. Always ready to help, fullfilled all our need, even finding me a power plug adaptor (something that a 4 star hotel in Casablanca did not provide us) to use my Notebook. Provided a Hair dryer to my Mom and EVERYTHING we requested. Always smilling and trying to find a way before saying no or he couldn´t. Would refer to anyone. It´s not fancy, but nice bedroom, good air conditioning (we stayed in the winter), perfect hot shower, confortable beds, clean, good price, private parking spot at the property, easy access bedrooms at the ground floor, nice garden, average breakfast, and Tariq always around doing everything he could to make our stay perfect. Will never forget that place and all he made for us. Don´t need to be a perfect 5 stars resort to do their best and make you feel like home and welcome as he did.
