Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomProperty was a little bit dated / tired, especially furniture around pool areas. The buffet/ main restaurant was really hit and miss except for breakfast, pool bar was better.
Elegant looking hotel perched up on hillside, nice pools, comfortable rooms.

IrelandWhen going down to the beach, we got access to the private beach of the Hyatt Regency, but we had to walk past the lovely sun loungers only available for the Regency guests and arrived at some not so lovely seclusion for the Hyatt Place guests. If it is the same hotel chain, why make us feel so obviously second class on the beachfront where the sand and the sea is the same for everyone?
The location was perfect because we had a rental car. Otherwise it would have been a bit remote for us. Everything was perfect, staff had good English, bed was very comfortable, room was quiet and everything was clean.

United KingdomIt’s a little further out from Taghazout. There is not much around the hotel, which is fine if you don’t want to walk into the town etc and just want to stay within the hotel. They do offer a shuttle down to the beach though.
Staff were very friendly and had lots of facilities I.e. good pools, spa, gym

United KingdomIt's not the place if you're looking for seafront or a view, but for everything-else it's perfect.
Lovely hotel, tucked off the beaten path with a gorgeous pool. My friend and I enjoyed using the facilities and having a delicious buffet breakfast, and the staff were super helpful.

United KingdomIt's not clear from the description that the the hotel is on a hill and not next to the beach or even walking distance from it. Although the hotel has transfers to Hyatt Regency, so can get you down the hill, they don't run frequently enough. A la carte menu in the restaurant is extremely limited particularly in view of the restrictions on location that being in the hotel places you in. On a rainy day there is little to do in the hotel.
Breakfast, poolside, and room facilities are excellent.

United KingdomPersonally I didn't find the beds comfy the mattress was too hard. We couldn't get the aircon at a cooler temperature so the room was quite warm. Although the staff were super friendly it took them a very long time to do anything i.e when we requested towels, sheets etc it took hours for them to come & they would sometimes be knocking near enough at midnight when we were asleep. Found the lunch menu a bit limited, food was nice enough but nothing special.
Outside area was stunning, lovely pool! Staff were welcoming, breakfast was nice. Free shuttle to the beach & Agadir was a great touch. Lovely promenade to walk to tamraght and tagazhout approx 45 mins either way.

United KingdomThe dinner was really bad on most nights. So we went out to eat. The rooms were a little less wow than the lobby but more than fine. It is a little out the way but there is a shuttle bus but with poor food at the hotel was forced to head out and sometimes that could be a bit of a faff when you’re a bit tired from being out on excursions etc. Do not book the buggies or the quads from Tagazout at the hotel - the buggies in particular were terrible and had no brakes and no steering.
Absolutely loved: The Staff (shout out to Mohamed and Majid!) I’ve never met such a lovely group of people, I wish I could recall everyone’s name to shout them out as they were all just phenomenal. Nothing was too much. I also liked that they were very open minded and kind. The housekeeping (rooms were cleaned beautifully) we left things out and never did we come back feeling like things had been moved that shouldn’t have been etc. The decor in the main hotel lobby and the poolside (GORGEOUS). The kids entertainment was kept aside and didn’t bother those without children but at the same time the children still were part of the hotel which was nice to observe. The poolside food was pretty okay - I’m a non meat eater and there were two choices for me and another that they happily would amend to make plant based. They had almond milk!!! That is a first when going on holiday haha!

United KingdomThe WiFi is terrible - very slow, drops out all the time. Also - don't bother with the cocktails. Not good at all.
Everything about the Hyatt Place was perfect (except for the WiFi!). The room was lovely; the view was spectacular; the staff were friendly and helpful; the pools and sunbathing areas were gorgeous and the food was great. Special mention for Nadia - our chamber maid - who was brilliant. And Mohammed on reception (we joked that we would give him a zero our of ten but he was great really!).

IrelandThere were too many renovations happening at the time that we were there. It was a bit annoying to avoid all of them when walking and taking photos or videos. The linen under our bed's duvet was stained and looked unhygienic, so we needed to ask for it to be changed in the evening since we didn't check on it upon arrival only when we were about to sleep. They were quick, though, to respond to the request. The location is far away from the beach. Spending a night here won't let you experience the surfing life in taghazout. If you would like to experience the beach life, book the other Hyatt. If you want peace and a calming experience, and just looking at the beach faraway is enough for you, then this hotel will suit you.
We loved the ambience, interiors, and facilities. We had so much fun taking photos and videos. The place is IGworthy! We felt like we were the only ones there. It was so relaxing. We loved having the pool to ourselves. My son enjoyed the table games. And he was sad leaving the hotel. The service was superb, especially from the people in the restaurant - special mention to the ones during the dinner buffet. They were so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere eating outside the hotel under the parasols beside the heater. It is winter there but we enjoyed our dinner like it was summer outside. We enjoyed the spacious room and were given a late check-out by reception considering our late flight back home. The view from the balcony is great, seeing the being developed hotel beside us and a glimpse of the beach faraway. Thank you! I think this hotel will be popular in the future, there's so much potential here.

United KingdomNot really much to not like, our only issue was for our first two days the main pool was undergoing maintenance & we weren't notified of this before booking. Having known this we might've decided to stay somewhere else, again we informed staff of this and they treated us to a free dinner there by way of apology. If the main pool was open for our entire stay it would be a 10 for this review.
We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas and had a fantastic time. The pool area offers a relaxing atmosphere with great views over the bay, there's a selection of areas to enjoy the sun & the bar area sells everything you could want & i felt was good value. The food is one of the best things about this hotel, breakfast buffet gives you a nice mix of Moroccan options & typical breakfast items including fresh omelette & pancake stations, good tasting coffee too. Poolside bar serves up great options for lunch & evening meal is served in buffet style & was top notch. we opted for the Christmas set menu which we really enjoyed. Great staff really friendly & helpful, we had a slight room issue on the first evening being placed right above the bar which was a touch too noisy for us but this was rectified the next day and we were moved to the opposite side, no hassle.

PortugalWe had booked a family room. It was a good size. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable so my son ended up sleeping with the mattress on the floor. I like sleeping on a hard mattress but the mattress in the hotel was extremely hard. It would have been perfect had there been a top mattress. There was a big renovation of one of the pools which was noisy and dusty. It would have been great to have had this info before booking because I would have chosen to go elsewhere. Where we live we are surrounded by construction. We were looking forward to a peaceful holiday.
The entré to the hotel is very grand. It’s very clean everywhere. The staff is very friendly and speaks several languages.
