Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanI couldn’t say enough good things about this place. We got sick while we were here and needed to extend our stay and get a doctor and the hotel staff, Hamza and Hassane, helped us and went above and beyond to take care of us. We’ve never experienced such care and hospitality. Thank you again and if you’re looking for a great riad to stay in, look no further!

United Stateshaving no idea what to expect from morocco or marrakech i can honestly say that myself and all of my companions loved every bit of our stay at riad dar zaman. every staff member was so kind and welcoming. we all want to come back and stay again. the beds and rooms were FANTASTIC (i want to buy the sheets) the breakfast alone is worth every penny but the dinners are insanely wonderful. all 4 of us in our group think the soup we were served was quite possibly the best we have ever eaten. again we were welcomed so warmly and made to feel like family, please look no further for your stay in marrakech.

United KingdomWe booked this riad because we read it catered well for vegans - there was a tofu scramble on the website that wasn’t offered in practice which was disappointing. The bread was also different to the pictures on the website - the traditional flatbread would have been nicer.
We loved the tailored service Adil was able to provide and we felt very looked after by him! We particularly appreciated him working over Eid! We had dinner one night which was probably the best veggie tagine we had in Marrakech. The breakfast was also lovely with I think a more varied spread than other places offer. The almond butter was amazing! The rooms were clean, comfortable and stylish. We liked chilling on the roof terrace in the morning and evening. All the staff were lovely and gave fantastic recommendations on where to eat and visit.

United KingdomThe staff were wonderful. Thoughtful, unassuming, gracious, helpful, courteous. The food was AMAZING, I need to eat gluten free food and we're not big meat eaters and they accommodated all our needs and the breakfasts were tasty and nutritious, the 3 course evening meal we had was the best food we had in Morocco - fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared. The decor was stunning, it felt luxurious and homely. It was all wonderful and made our holiday really special.

CanadaThe Riad exceeded our expectations.
This property is an oasis in the old city. The accommodation is comfortable and with a limited number of guest rooms it feels like your own private residence. The staff are exceptional! They are knowledgable, extremely helpful and go beyond expectations to make sure your stay is comfortable and assisting with the arranging of sightseeing excursions. The breakfast offers a fulsome choice of items, from freshly pressed orange juice, buttery avocado and a wonderful assortment of other items. The cooking class was informative, fun and delicious! The dinner menu items of fluffy couscous Chicken Tagine with Olives and Preserved lemons and the Lamb with Prunes were both sublime! The rooftop terrace provides an additional oasis within the Riad.

The property is beautiful and the service even better. The team served us delicious breakfast every day and gave us useful tips on what to see in Marrakesh. We also had the chance to have a dinner at the Riad and would highly recommend anyone going to do the same. Overall, an extremely positive experience.

United KingdomThe staff were lovely and so helpful. We were delayed in arriving and a meal was still provided late at night and Adel even helped to book us train tickets for our onward travel. The room was small but comfortable and nicely decorated. The location was great for us. It is between the new town and 10 minutes walk from the crazy part of the Medina. This meant that the streets were full of locals and were hassle free compared to a lot of the Medina.

SwedenYou could hear all the other guests in their rooms, but if you want to stay at a riad in the Medina that should be expected.
The stuff was wonderful, made me feel very welcome and i could not have asked for a better introduction. The riad was beautiful and the breakfast was perfect, I would have loved to stay longer than two nights.

DenmarkThe riad is in a great location in the Medina, with a beautiful relaxing terrace and other nice indoor seating areas. It’s a bit challenging to find (like everything!), but Hassan gave us a thorough explanation of how to get around using landmarks and the maps.me app. The bed was comfortable, and since there are only 4 rooms it was really pretty quiet. It’s a nice break from the craziness of the city! A nice touch was the free filtered water - the plastic bottles really start to pile up otherwise. We loved all the suggestions of things to do and places to eat!

The Riad was the ideal experience for our stay in Marrakech! The staff was warm and welcome and very attentive throughout our stay. The location is ideal - right in the heart of the medina and walking distance to everything you need to see. They give you a helpful map and explanation of the area when you check in, as well as advice for how to navigate the city. They were also very accommodating to our gluten-free dietary restrictions. The included breakfast on the terrace every morning was a highlight!

Amazing staff (everyone says that). I booked a room during a heat spell that prevented the air conditioner from cooling the room properly. They bent over backwards to put me in a more comfortable room during my stay. Over and above service. I will never forget them. Thank you Peter and staff!

United KingdomPeter, Hassan and Adil were amazing hosts, and Riad Dar Zaman was the perfect place to spend our first night in Morocco. After a small crisis at the airport when our car rental falling through, Peter was able to organise a like-for-like rental once we arrived at the riad with a trustworthy local company. As two males travelling together, we didnt find all places in Morocco to be truly relaxed and welcoming, but the opposite was the case at the Riad, with Hassan being incredibly welcoming and helpful on our arrival, giving us tips on all the local places to visit and eat. And when I developed a migraine late in the evening, Adil didnt hesitate to go out and get some paracetemol for me. It was like staying with family, we loved it.
