Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomOne issue was small - when we checked out I wish we knew in advance we needed to pay this city tax and transfer in cash - we had been out all day and could have gotten it then. Instead we had to stop at an atm en route to the airport. The second issue was that we were asked a few times to keep quiet in the mornings - even though it was between the breakfast serving times of 8-10am. I understood this was because other guests were still asleep, but this did come at our expense and i think the expectation a 6 year old would whisper was a bit much. I think this is just one difficulty of hosting families and couples/adults, but it is may be never possible to keep both happy. maybe some thought needs to be given to families/children noise for the future because it would be more of an issue for young children and babies who are less agreeable!
We thought the location was really good. It was our second time in marrakech and this area felt much safer and was much easier to access everything. The breakfast was lovely - our son enjoyed having a chocolate milk every morning! The room was lovely, the shower was great, Abdul the host was very helpful, the plunge pool was also a nice because it was very hot for our stay. The terrace has great views and is really beautiful. We found the area to be very quiet and safe, the map we were given was very clear and we had no problems. Definitely use the transfer though otherwise you will get lost the first time! We would definitely stay again. I would give 9.5 if I could! It was almost perfect.

The location was excellent- near to lots of attractions but still quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof was lovely in the breeze!

United KingdomThis is a beautiful riad, a short walk from the main square, with a lovely room, great shower and wifi, and roof terrace. Hafed,Abdu and Fatima were such lovely welcoming hosts. The transfers and trips we wanted to do were all arranged by them. We enjoyed Moroccan breakfast on the terrace and we would recommend an evening meal of a tagine or couscous, on the roof.. We recommend the Maps.me app so you can find your way home and around the city without internet!

BelgiumThe room was a bit cold because the door was not well sealed. It would also be nice if they gave us a key to the front door.
The riad was beautiful and traditional, we got what we were looking for. To start our morning the rooftop was perfect for breakfast to see the sunrise. Our room was nice and the small lamps made it cozy, the bed was comfortable. The room decor was simple and beautiful. Abdu and Haffed gave us lots of tips where to visit ect. Who made our stay even better was Abdu, especially his smile and kindness. He was very friendly and helpful. Our 6 nights at Dar Lalla F’dilla were simply AMAZING. Thank you all and we will definitely be back next time.

CanadaThe location itself is good as in the center. But it is very hard to find and to find your way back to the hotel. It is a maze to get there and no signs on the little pointing you down. (mind you I didn't have a cellphone, I was just using the paper map and the directions given to us)
The hotel is beautiful. Very traditional, with a Moroccan ambiance. The room was beautiful, and large, high ceilings. A nice breakfast as well.

United KingdomNothing really. I guess it's a ten minute walk to the main square (but we knew this before booking) and we quite enjoyed making the walk through the souks each time we wanted to go to Jema el-Fna. On the other hand, the riad is right next to the museum of Marrakesh and the Medrassa Ben Youseff if you're planning on going there.
I recommend booking an airport transfer with the riad, (you can arrange this once you have confirmed your booking), otherwise it will be very difficult to find the place - especially if you're arriving at night - and someone will take you directly to the riad. On arrival, we were given a tour of the riad and maps of the surrounding area which were extremely helpful as at this point we didn't have a SIM/data to navigate ourselves with. Hafed then took us to a nearby restaurant and asked them to stay open a bit longer so we could eat after our journey which we really appreciated. We stayed in the double room superior, the room was very big and beds were nice and comfy. The room was also very nicely cleaned every morning and the breakfast is really varied and filling (included pancakes, bread, cake, yoghurt, tea/coffee/juice & Moroccan tea)! The riad itself is very beautiful. Thank you to Hafed who made sure we were okay and safe to navigate the alleys in the medina and recommended some alternative spots to sightsee at. I saw some concerns before this trip about how the alleyways may seem unsafe, but as a group of 3 female travelers we felt very safe walking back even quite late at night. There are only a couple of keys to the riad so either you have to knock on the door for someone to let you in, or take a key if you know you will be coming back late.

United KingdomThe only thing I can note is that we went in the first week of January and the nights did get quite cold. You can tell that these buildings in Marrakech are built to keep the hot summer heat out because i would wake up really cold in the mornings. However, it wasn't a real issue because I just brought extra warm clothes with me on the trip. Also, like i mentioned perviously, the riad is located right in the medina. So if you are not used to the crowds of the city, be prepared to feel very overwhelmed at the crowds of the medina. I will note that the location of the riad itself is very nice because it's located in the quiet back streets, away from the crowds. But once you venture out a bit more, it gets extremely busy and you have to be careful about walking into someone or watching out for motorcycles going by (because there are LOTS of them).
Really loved my stay here. Immediately we were given a full tour of the riad and because of the location being in the Medina, we were also given a map and told how to make our way back so that we don't get lost. Even when we booked different activities such as quad biking and getting on a hot air balloon, the staff made sure to drop us off at the exact locations where our transfers would pick us up. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast. There was lots of variety between orange juice, yoghurt, tea, coffee, cake, fruit, pancakes and lots mpre! Everything was sooo tasty. Furthermore, due to it's location in the medina, it is very close to all the major spots you need to see. Taxi's are always a faster option, but we decided to save money and explore the area properly by walking everywhere with the closest walk being 5 mins to Le Jardin Secret and the furthest walk being about 30 mins to the YSL Museum (which is literally nothing). The riad staff were very informative, giving us insider information and making sure we were aware of all the places we need to visit. For example, Abdu warned us to avoid asking strangers for help getting back to the riad because then they will demand you pay them for their help (hence why you are given a map on day 1). I think that people choosing to stay here will appreciate all the tips and tricks to avoid being scammed, especially because it's so common in Marrakech. A bit of personal advice from me: make sure to download MAPS.ME. It's basically google maps but works without connection. It was a real life saver when navigating my way back to the riad because the streets are confusing and like a maze. Furthermore, a real shoutout to Hafed. I really enjoyed the biscuits the riad served, and when I asked, he went to get me two full boxes of them I could take back home (I paid him for the biscuits obviously). 10/10 biscuits btw.
