Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaThe smell of a sanatorium, not cleaned enough. I was expecting more spa flyovers. The hotel is further from the center of Jurmala, you need to travel.
Good breakfast, large swimming pool and good saunas. The hotel is further from the center, the beach is quieter.

LatviaNo hair dryer in the room. Their restaurant is permanently closed so you have to find another place to get food. Our room faced East and the blinds were super thin so the rising sun woke us up very early as there was no way to dim the light in the room.
It was very quiet and the staff is super nice, amazing location to go to the beach and comfortable beds. The SPA area visits are included in the price.

UkraineWe were not in the season, so we had to 'look for' the staff to check in the hotel and check out - there was no one at the reception. The hotel has good repairs in the rooms, but in terms of design and architecture, it is somewhat 'Soviet'. There is no private guarded parking lot, and the car has to be left in the open area.
Very good breakfast with Latvian dishes. You can quickly reach the sea coast. Great option to use the pool and spa. The quiet area is surrounded by pine trees.

LatviaSometimes it's not easy to find a way you want to get to. Lack of informative signs, but still manageable.
The Superior Room had a bedroom and a TV room with couch. Really warm inside both rooms. The staff was very friendly. SPA zone has a nice swimming pool and two different Saunas. Breakfast had wide options of very tasty food to choose from. All stay was perfect on Valentines day, we had even a really nice, festive surprise waiting on the room table prepared by the staff on arrivals 🙂

LatviaTheir ECONOMY on utility services! :( It was January and it was terribly COLD everywhere! Water temperature in Jacuzzi was slightly warmer compared to the pool (it was impossible to warm up in it for children), it seemed that there is no heating in the corridors at all. And it was very cold in our room as well, unfortunately. The stuff brought us 2 portable heaters, but nevertheless, I slept in my sweater :( And the temperature is our WC was like in a freezer :(
The room (we had a family room with kitchenette) was just perfect! Very spacious and convenient, with large WC, balcony and everything needed in the kitchen (except a microwawe oven). Beds and pillows were good. Breakfast was perfect - veried and tasty. SPA area is newly reconstructed, very good. Location also is perfect - close to the sea, among the pines - very good!

PolandThe location was great, just a few minutes from the beach. The hotel building is rather specific. Despite renovations it still has some Soviet Union feeling so it's quite interesting. Nice pool and sauna.

EstoniaBuilding is from a soviet period, so does not look inspiring from the outside, in winter season some parts of the building a bit cold, lifts are old and tiny. SPA area with the swimming pools contains two jacuzzi, which are of very small diameter. For a size of the hotel and during high season periods those jacuzzi cannot house all clients. Changing room/lockers area in the SPA could be ventilated bit more. But in general you get what you pay for. It shall be underlined that soviet era design solutions of the building are not easy to change, but building itself, and the room we stayed was completely renovated and looks fresh from inside. . Choice of TV channels not the best. Floor of the room was quite cold because is heated with the radiators, but room contains air conditioner, which works in winter as an additional heat source
Very spacious family room with the kitchenette and fridge, which was needed for us. I would even call it apartment, as it contains a separate bedroom with a double bed and living room with the sofa bed for kids. The only reason it probably cannot be rated as full separate bedroom is that in order to access the bathroom from a living room you need to pass through a bedroom. Very clean and quite contemporary room with air condition. Very big choice of meals for for the breakfast (included), and the dinner (optional, we ordered during check-in). I would say that people enjoying the very late breakfast (until 11:00 am) could consider it as for a lunch/brunch. Big choice of salats, legumes, potatoes with mushrooms and even meat dishes for a breakfast! Not to speak about two kinds of pancakes, 4 different variants of sausages, fried eggs, omlet, oat porridge, donuts, yogurt, choice of bakery and good coffee. Wifi works everywhere. Hotel very close to the beach, just 5 minutes on foot. Full size swimming pool in the SPA area, one dry sauna, and one Turkish steam bath.

LatviaSmaller room, than my previous stay, and actually smaller than expected. In my opinion is not worth it. Go for bigger room if there's a choice. Price difference is negligible. Place looks a little run down. Occasional rust here and there, chipped tile. Stuff like that. But no mold, and everything is clean, so not a big deal. TV channels were lackluster, but I did not visit to watch TV so also not a big deal.
Liked · SPA was great! Children's toy room in the lobby was also nice. Okay bathroom. Breakfast was also good. Very spacious dining area. Good location, quiet rooms, I did not hear anyone, and I hope noone heard me. Beds were comfy.
