Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandBreakfast was every day exacly the same. In other Hotels they change it every day,diferent fruits,chees ,vegies,sweets. I was there one week and every day the same. Otherwise all was good. Staff was also friendly, cleaning lady was really friendly. only one woman was not friendly with Staff and Customers, i belive she is Head of Unit with Black Hear and Red Jacket.

United KingdomWe were allocated the wrong room so had to go back to reception and ask for the correct room configuration (not great when we were tired after travelling all day.) The music and videos at breakfast were hideous and too loud. Orange juice at breakfast wasn’t very nice. Good location for train station and eating at Lido :-)
Sound proofing between rooms and from outside (we were on the 7th floor at the front of the hotel which is on a busy road but we couldn’t hear a thing), comfy beds and good, silent air conditioning. Good shower.

ItalyOnly one thing, but unforgivable: that horrible, shameful gabia of birds at the reception. Do you really intend to please the clientele with that pitiful spectacle? Two poor little birds living cloistered in that tiny space. No, no, no.
An excellent hotel at a very convenient price. The bed was very comfortable, the coffee maker was very modern, the bathroom was spacious and functional. Great variety of dishes at the breakfast buffet (although the made-to-order omelet could have been much better...).

PolandMy hotel choice in Riga - already stayed here several times. The hotel is clean, well equipped and privides all you may need for a short business trip. What needs to be mentioned is the super attentive and friendly front desk staff. Spatious well accessible parking lot. Spatious bathroom and coffee making facilities in the room. I can reccomend this location.

FinlandMy room was nice and comfy with a little balcony, which was super nice (without chairs and dusty, though). However, my travel company had a room with badly working air conditioning, and even the window could not be opened. And nothing was done for it. Also, their tv wasn't working well. The mini bar was closed and you needed to ask for it to be opened. And no one ever came, even though I asked. The hotel also has a deposit system, so you have to pay 50€ when you check in, and it is returned after you have checked out. It was nice that we got drink vouchers we could use in their bar. The breakfast was okay, but could have been organised better. The food was running out quite often because the plates/jars were small. In addition, there was a cook making omelettes. However, one of us never got the omelette he ordered, even though he asked for it twice. The customer service in the hotel was friendly, despite of little things that could have been organised better. In conclusion, we had some little problems, but all in all, we had a nice stay in the hotel and in Riga.

We were travelling by car so chose this hotel because of the convenient location with parking. The room was basic and a bit small but had everything you need. We did have an issue with the air-conditioning which we did complain about the front desk on at least two occasions and was never resolved. However, it was fine as the weather wasn’t super warm.
