Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is very central, with good restaurants around. The staff is friendly and helpful. I tried to turn on the air conditioning in the room, as the room was very stuffy and hot even though I had the window open, but the air conditioning didn't work. I asked for help from reception who informed me that they only call in the summer. The very friendly receptionist promptly resolved the situation by moving me to a cooler room. Problem solved!

Location is great, easily accessible with public transportation. Rooms were clean and decent sized. Plenty of options to grab food and supermarkets nearby.

United KingdomRoom was quite well worn in general, but the stand out was that there appeared to be a damp issue or something on the wall. Possibly repaired, but certainly quite a significant amount of discolouration and texture was left there.
Great location, and staff extremely friendly. Nearby restaurants and central location make dining easy. Room was a comfortable size, bed was very comfortable.

The room service was a bit of a nightmare Times said available until 10.50 and had a menu in room. But when we went to order at 10pm we were told that that restaurant is closed and that we had to order from another place but there was no menu available

Good location, short walk into old town. Near to bus stop that takes you to and from the airport. Near to tram stop. All transport free in Luxembourg! Clean room. Got an early check in for free as room was ready.

Thankfully the door was broken to our apartment and we were forced to find new accommodation (but it was also the 22nd of December so just before Christmas is not easy!) but the Victor Hugo had a room for us and we were very grateful. It was fantastic.

SingaporeThe bed mattress is rounded to the sides and it makes you slip out of the bed if you turn. So the sleep is not very comfortable. The air con did not work, only super hot heating!!! The bath tub is too high for older people with mobility issues to climb in and out. Super dangerous. Steps at main entrance are uncomfortable to carry baggage up. Should have a ramp to pull the luggage or a porter/concierge! But that seems to be difficult if only one person is running hte whole services at the entire hotel!

GermanyOne of the staff members was annoyed by questions, he did not engage in any friendly way. There was not even a single "happy new year" offered when we came for check out on January 1st.
The location was great. With numerous brasserie and restaurants (and even a club) around, many opportunities for going out were in direct proximity of the hotel. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the sauna.
